This "story" thingy was inspired by Slaughterhouse-Five. A book that changed my perspective on the world for the better. I figured I wanted to post it and even though it doesn't directly attach to the novel, it was inspired entirely by it. Thank you for reading :)
Interesting how fate seems to be set in stone. It's a constant reminder that it's not going anywhere, yet it moves with you. A plan that is flexible, but not. Everything that ever will be comes from this plan, and yet it never comes. Fate is tomorrow, but tomorrow never comes. Though fate is carved into amber, that amber changes with the inevitable time that moments show.
As I lay here dying I know I am dead. As I lay here dead I know I am dying. Just as I am living. Flourishing. Thriving.
Yes, my fate was, is and will be set in amber. Something stronger than stone, but flexible enough to see through. Tomorrow is here.
Yesterday was, is and will be tomorrow.
Today was, is and will be yesterday.
Tomorrow was, is and will be today.
Because you never know what you will see in the amber.
Eventually, tomorrow says its goodbyes. The important part is that yesterday does not say hello because that ruins today.
