Early one morning in March, as the sun was rising, Edward Elric was fast asleep...until...

"EEEEEDDDDD," Winry yelled out in pain, "EEEDDD! Wake Up, NOW!"

"What is it Winry?" Ed asked in surprise and shock from being woken up so early.

"It's coming!" Winry yelled out in between the contractions.

"Oh! Sh--"

"EEEEDDDD! Hospital! NOW!!" Winry interrupted.

Ed picked up the phone and called Roy to come pick them up, as planned. Roy answered the phone.

"Hello?" Roy asked sleepily, seeing as it was one of his days off and he was not used to waking up early on those days.

"Roy! I need you! NOW!" Ed screamed into the phone while Roy pulled the phone away from his ear.

"Okay, Ed! Calm down! I'll be there in a minute!"

"Oh, and Roy?"

"Yes?"

"Bring Riza with you! Okay, thanks! Bye!" Ed said before Roy had a chance to argue back. So, Roy did as he was told. He got dressed, got in his car, picked up Riza, and was at Ed's house in less than thirty minutes.

"Thank God! Come on, Winry, they're here!" Ed told Winry as he helped her up. After they got her into the black, leather seated car, they headed on to the hospital. When they got there, Ed went inside and got someone to bring a wheelchair to come help Winry inside the emergency entrance.

A few hours later, Ed, Riza, and Roy were still sitting in the waiting room. Ed was turned into an extremely bad wreck, since all he had had in the few hours they were there was the dark, liquidy substance Roy and Riza called 'coffee'.

Then, two hours later, a nurse came out from behind two doors and said, "Mr. Elric?"

"Yes?" Ed asked, jumping out of his chair and onto his feet.

"Congratulations! You're a father now! You may go and see your wife and children now!"

Ed ran through the doors behind the nurse with no hesitation. He ran down the hall, turned to the right, and kept going until he came to the room numbered 101, and went in. There she was, waiting for him to come in the room.

"Where's the baby?" Ed asked in a panic.

"The nurses are cleaning them!" Winry said, calming him down.

"Thank God!...wait a minute...did you say THEM?

"Yep," Winry said with a smile, "Ed, honey, we had twins! Two identical girls!"

For a minute, Ed just stood there until he finally smiled, went over to Winry's side, and hugged and kissed her.

"So, you're happy?" Winry asked him.

"Yeah, I am."

Then, a nurse brought in the first baby girl. 'What a beautiful baby! She looks like Winry! Maybe the other girl will look like me! Maybe--'

"Ed! What are we going to name her?"

"You name her! She looks more like you!"

"Okay! I'll name her...Piney!"

"I think I like that name!" Ed said to her.

"Good!" Winry said back softly.

Then, another nurse brought in their other daughter and, to both Ed and Winry's surprise, she looked EXACTLY like Ed.

"Well, Ed, I guess you get to name her!"

"Okay, I'll name her...Ali."

"I like that name!" Winry said to him.

"Good!" Ed said, copying her from before.

"Oh, ha ha! Very funny, Ed!" Winry said.

"I know," Ed chuckled, "I love you."

"I love you, too!" Winry smiled, trying not to fall asleep.

After all of the excitement that day, Ed took Winry, Ali, and Piney home. Well, actually, Roy drove them home, but Ed was just happy that he was a father of two beautiful baby girls. Until they woke up crying later that night that is!
