She told you the world was going to fall. And you didn't believe her.

"Never in a million days," he said, "would we ever think the world will fall. Never in a million years. The world hasn't fallen before, and it won't fall now."

She smiled and looked at you, and though you didn't talk, you saw the truth in those silver eyes. Only for a moment, a flash of light, the world was falling. Then she blinked, and it was gone. "The world can only fall once," she said, her eyes connected to yours, "and just because it has not, does not mean it can not."

She stood and turned and walked away, and when he asked of where she was going, she only smiled. "I have to warn the others, warn them the world is going to fall."

"I don't think we should believe her," he said, voice aloof. His eyes held laughter, smile barely held back.

You watched her move away, aglow in the falling sun.

"Why would the world fall? It has never fallen before," he said. He followed your eyes, frowned at your face. "What? You really think she is right? That the world will fall this very night? Are you so crazy, to believe that all things have changed, just because of the ravings of one small girl?"

You turn, but the girl had already gone.

"No, I don't think we should believe her," you say, voice aloof. But in your mind you see those silver eyes, and know you do not speak the truth.

The next day, you sit at the drive, waiting, waiting for the sun to rise. The sky is black, the stars burnt out.

Three hours later, the sun was nowhere to be found. You look down the street, and she was burned in your mind.

The air is still, the world is dead. No birds fly, circling above your head.

The world might have fell just then.

The sun might be gone, never to grace the sky again.

The world could have fell. . . she may have spoke right.

But then, you didn't believe her.

Or if you liked this (or didn't) you really should check out Darkest at Midnight because I'm actually going to update that this week and you should catch up and get the hype up for the revival k. Thanks, and hopefully see you soon with more writing (and comments and stuffs) ~Fyre }}
