Runaway Sasuke x OC/reader

They always said they'd runaway together go somewhere…..anywhere. They both knew it was impossible they were both lone walkers on separate roads. But talking about running off together, traveling, and making a new life always helped ease the pain on the inside.

He'd never be like this with anyone else. Just her and only her the girl he called future. She was that annoying exception he'd let into his heart. Truly deep down he didn't want anyone to break his walls because then there would be an extra-large flood of truth, pain, and loneliness. But future's large doe eyed face was hard to say no to. Especially when it's raining and her house was the nearest place away from god's tears.

So now they lie together in her living room blankets on the floor and silence playing on the record player in the corner. "I hate the rain" he finally said in a desperate attempt to destroy the quiet.

"You hate everything"

"Yeah but rains the worst inanimate anything to land on earth"

"We should go somewhere where it hardly rains at all"

"Why couldn't we go somewhere where it never rains at all?"

"If we did that then all we'd have is shriveled up plants and drought"

"True"

"We need to go somewhere where there's little but just enough rain and lots of area to explore"

"I've heard of an island of the coast of the continent, supposed to be warm and large but with few people"

"That'd be perfect"

"Yeah."

And so silence incased them again. Pointless dreaming of happy lives in their heads. Maybe one day they will meet again after both their goals are met and they can be together.

A year later he set off with the snake and she left the continent in search of a way to make her mistakes right. She was also looking for the perfect place for the both of them. She never found it there always was too much rain or not enough. Maybe their fake expectations were too high.

When he returned to the village he discovered her departure. Deep down he knew their paths have not yet aligned but he still hoped. On his 21st birthday his friends took him out drinking against his will and the next morning when he woke up with a massive headache and his decision to leave the village again.

If nature wouldn't align their paths naturally he'd be damned if he didn't try to make it align by brute force. This time he left a letter explaining his departure. Sakura would be crushed when she read about his love for future. But she'd have to deal with it again. He needed to see future make sure she was safe and possibly connect again.

It took 2 years but he eventually found her. She was in some country he never even heard of at all before this and she was at a boat dock preparing a ship he later found out she was captain of. The only way he could recognize her was her tomato red hair. She was taller and had grown in all the right places.

One detail he took note of was the koi fish tattoo that covered her back. At least the visible part he could see from the red tank top jumpsuit she was wearing with the open back. She looked great.

Eventually she felt eyes on her and when she turned around she found a tall quiet hurricane. After that they lived the rest of their lives on that damned ship. Traveling everywhere at least once. They finally got their happy ending turns out daydreams about the future wasn't such a bad thing. Day dreaming maps out the impossible and how to achieve it. Brute force and patience equals future…..and sasuke.
