Sam gave me to Dean for Christmas one year while their daddy was out fighting monsters. Dean put me on and wore me every day. Then Sam left and Dean's life changed. He was pissed at the "betrayal" and threw me on the floor with every intention of leaving me there. He packed up and almost walked out of the motel before reaching down and putting me on again. He would fiddle with me whenever he was thinking about Sam. He fiddled with me a lot. Sam wasn't there but he could still hold a piece of him through me.
