Hermione Granger had always like hearing secrets. Not necessarily to tell, just to dwell on.
She sat at the back table in the library, like she usually did. She turned pages and inhaled new knowledge, somehow never letting the old knowledge out of her head. She was so enthralled in her book for that matter, she didn't even notice when a certain blonde Slytherin boy casually came up behind her.
"Hello there Granger," he said quietly, leaning in over her shoulder.
"How may I help you?" she asked, a little coldly. A trained ear might've been able to pick up on the excitement in her voice.
Lucky for her, Malfoy's ear wasn't trained.
"I've got a secret," he whispered, pushing her hair over her shoulder from behind.
"Don't we all, Malfoy?" she retorted, never once looking up from her book.
"Don't you want to hear it?"
"Not particularly," she replied, standing up and walking towards the door. Malfoy followed close behind, silver eyes gleaming and blond hair swishing from lack of gel.
"Not really."
They exited the library and they both turned to the right, walking in sync.
"Come on…You know you wanna know," he persisted. She ignored him,
"Fine then…If I can't tell you…"
He quickly pulled her to the side of the hall into an empty arithmacy classroom and closed the door,
"What the bloody hell do you think you're doing?" she said…
…Or she would have said…
…Had he not kissed her as soon as the door was closed…
He pulled away after a few seconds, fingers on the doorknob behind him.
"Told you it was a good one," he said, chuckling as Hermione stood awe-struck,
He turned the knob and stepped out the door, straightening his Slytherin robes in the process.
Hermione, stayed in the classroom for a few more minutes, a smile itching to form on her lips as she pressed her back against the wall and slid down onto the floor.
Like I said, Hermione Granger had always enjoyed hearing secrets. Most definitely not to tell anyone, just to dwell on.
