Betrayal
Yugi's POV
I was this dark figure sitting on the bed, awaiting your return. If the figure was looked from afar, there was this image. A sad one.
There were nights when I wondered why you came home late. Time and again, you would reply with the stupidest excuse known.
''I was at work.''
Really? Then, why was it that every time I called your office number, no one picked it up nor did anyone bother to call back.
There were also times when I smelled perfume, a very acute smell of lavenders. What a joke. My favorite scent became my downfall.
When I asked you about it, you reasoned that you were with your clients. Would your cilents run their hands all over you.
I also have yet to mention that there was a lipstick stain at your collar.
My suspicions were confirmed. I did not dare to confront you. You were bigger than me and those times you came home drunk, I bet you did not know what you did to me.
I was thrown onto the bed and your alcoholic breath reeked. I did not protest though, I was too hurt to.
You claimed that you loved me, so why are you doing this?
Don't hurt me anymore, please. My heart is bleeding. I think I can no longer breath properly.
As I heard the door slam wide, I ran down the stairs, elated to know that you are back.
''Come on baby.''
A moan was all it took for me to stand rooted to the ground. You were making out with her. Right in front of me.
You are cheating right in front of me. The girl stared at me and smirked, hugging you closer to her. Her well-endowed chest pressing against yours.
Have you realised that I was behind you?
''Yami.'' I said.
You looked at me, got off her and kneeled down before me.
''Yugi, I didn't mean to. She tempted me. I love you, habibi.''
How many lies have you said?
''I love you so much.''
How much more do I have to listen to?
''Don't leave me, please...''
I didn't leave, you did.
I removed your hands around my waist gently and I gave you a small smile. You returned the smile, thinking that everything is forgiven.
I had enough.
But I was still sucked into your warm embrace. I was still enraptured by you.
The girl ran away, cursing silently that she should not have gotten involved with Yami.
Damn right, you shouldn't have.
