The urge to fall in love is, like sex and hunger, a primitive, biological drive. Yeah, I changed my choice of prompts at the last minute. So here it is.

Falling in Love

Avery had not known him long but she knew that her days of lone survival were over. He was here now. And as he jumped in a puddle with his friend her heart bubbled. He suddenly jumped at her and landed in front of her. On all fours he was at her waists height. Looking up at her he grinned his goofy grin. Then, with as much effort as ease, he stood up. He was a head taller than her, and that was slouched over.

Her eyes saw the glow of his gray orbs from under the hood. His maniac grin had yet to leave his lips, even as he tilted his head slightly to the side and some of his greasy black locks swayed out from under the hood. Avery reached up with a hand and cupped his cheek. A moment passed and she patted it.

Ever since she met this... man- for that was what he was and no one was going to tell her otherwise- since that day she'd felt different. Now as he jumped off to continue playing a game of tag with the water and his friend Avery knew what it had been. This entire time, since the moment she had been initially pounced by him, her heart had been taken from her.

Stolen by that man. How had she not noticed it before? Easy, Love is not something anyone can control. A hand landed on her shoulder and she looked at her companion, Skylar. "we'd better get going." He lips said, but her eyes spoke the words that Avery was thinking. Both girls looked to their hunters and knew that they'd fallen in love from the moment they'd been wounded.
