She could still hear him say those painful words. 'But Rosalie Hale?' as if she were a monster. Okay technically she was, but so was he. Ever since she has 'hated' her adoptive brother Edward. Hate wasn't the right word, more like strongly disliking. Yes, that was it, she strongly disliked Edward. They were just too different.

'Rosalie?' she asked cautiously

'What?' she snapped her off, unexpectedly

'Have you talked to Edward lately?'

'No, and I'm not planning to, why?'

'I just thought, since both Bella and Emmet are' she paused her lips from moving for half a second 'I figured you should talk to him' 'I haven't seen him in days'

'Neither have I, Esmé, sorry'

'Well, maybe you should'

'He hates me, I hate him, case closed'

'He doesn't hate you, sweetie'

'He's made his particular opinion about me very clear'

'Just' she stopped herself again realizing Rosalie was right 'Just talk to him, okay, for me?'

Esme walked out the room without any further argument. Rosalie sat down on the sofa which was in the middle of Edwards room, she was cleaning, trying to set her mind off of things. She shoved away the clothes draped over the couch. She saw the picture frames on his wall; one of him with Bella, one with Alice, with Carlisle, Emmet, Esme, Jasper even with Charlie. But not one with her. She felt her face grow colder and colder. Her eyes blinking trying to fight away the tears. Even though vampires can't cry she thought to herself. She slid down onto the floor, dodging her head in between of her knees. Then she felt an arm wrap around her fragile shoulders.

'Don't be sad' a low male voice mouthed

Rosalie couldn't help herself but look up 'Edward?' she asked slightly surprised by his presence

'Who'd you expect?'

'What are you doing here?'

'This is my room'

'Yeah I know, I mean what are you doing here? With me?'

'Are you kidding me? You're my sister, and when you're sad, I'm sad'

She chuckled at hearing his words. 'What is it?' he asked

'It's just, you never striked me as the brother who'd come up and comfort me'

'Yeah, Jasper paid me off to fulfil his duties' they both let out a little laugh 'Why are you sad?'

'No reason'

'You're just sad?' he shook his head disapprovingly

'Yes, got a problem with that?' she playfully pushed him away

'It's been a while, you know'

'A while for what?'

'Since our last sibling-talk'

The thought of that made her even sadder

'I don't hate you Edward'

'I don't hate you either Rose'

'No, I mean, I really don't hate you'

'I don't either, wh- what are you talking about Rosie?'

'I don't hate you as in – I lo- I lo-, I love you'

'I love you too, Rose you know that'

'Are you that retarded?' she asked swiftly putting herself on her feet, standing up, staring him down

'What?'

'I' she started hyperventilating a little 'love' she inhaled 'you' and exhaled. 'I'm in love with you'

'Oh Rose' he stood up too now

'When you said those things; that you hated me, it broke my heart; I felt unwanted for the very first time in my life.'

'I, I, I did want you' he paused for a moment 'I do' he corrected himself

She stepped towards him and planted a kiss on his lips and felt as if she never wanted to let go.
