I didn't dare look behind me as I ran down the abandoned street. I knew I couldn't outrun my predator. He was hunting and wouldn't stop until he had won. I couldn't breath. My lungs burning from my run. I tripped over the grass I had recently started to run on. I tried to think, breath, move. I wanted so badly to run. I wanted to cry. I felt his cool hands finally touch my body. My breathing already rigid.
"I told you you couldn't out run me," His velvet voice whispered into my ear. "I'm thirsty. Are you ready?" I tried to move. I really did. I just couldn't get my body to cooperate. The first tear ran from my face. There were I had landed on the cold hard ground I was crying. The hunter looked at me.
"Why are you crying? It will only hurt for a moment." He nuzzled his nose into my my neck and took a deep breath in. "You are mine now." He stated before picking me up from my heap on the ground. His cold hands pulled my back against his hard sculpted chest. His cool lips made there way from my cheek to my throat. I closed my eyes ready for the pain. But nothing happened. I opened them once more, craning my head to look behind me at the hunter. He was handsome. So very handsome. Like an angel of death he was holding me tight in his grasp. Lost in my awe of him I was startled when he finally took his gaze from the stars to look me straight in the eyes. His eyes were dark black orbs. They would haunt my every dream if I were to make it through this. A sad smile swept across his pale face. Then it happened. His cold hand was gently but swiftly tilting my head to the left. His cool lips kissed my neck one last time before his razor sharp teeth slammed into it. I breathed in the icy air. Tears still falling down my cheeks. This would be the last time I would cry. I felt the life slipping away from me. Consciousness was evading me. I was slipping.
"I love you, my dear sweet Kagome." He wispered to me. Before I was completley gone I choked out my last words.
"Mm hmm, you too." I couldn't say more as he sucked the last drops of life from me. My body limp in his arms he carried me with him as he walked on towards his house upon the hill where we would both sleep out the day and when night fell I would live once more. I would be with him now. My vampire Sesshomaru.
