My first Tales of the Abyss fanfic!

I don't own things!

Anise was lying on the inn bed, staring at the black ceiling.

She couldn't sleep, thoughts of guilt raced through her mind.

The more letters she sent to Mohs, the harder the journey became.

It killed her inside to know that she wasn't really friends with any of them.

She was betraying them.

Anise turned over in her bed, looking out the window.

The faint moonlight shined on her face, as if she was being cleansed.

She begged the glowing white crescent for forgiveness.

She wished they didn't trust her.

It would be so much easier if they hated her.

She could picture their shock when they learned of her treachery.

Was it possible to hate oneself so much?

It would've been easier to just die.

But there was no escape. She had to protect her parents.

Anise leaned over the side of her bed and picked up Tokunaga.

She stared at the buttoned eyes, sewed smile.

The boisterous face gazed at her, silent.

Darkness hummed in Anise's ears, she frowned at the doll's features and dropped it on the floor, a resounding thud.

Once again she rested her eyes on the ceiling.

She wanted to cry.

But there was no time for guilt.

I just randomly wrote this out of love for Anise, but I doubt it did her justice. Oh well. Please review.
