It all started because of a nut. Oh, where are my manners? I am the narrator. What's that? My name? I do have a name, I just won't tell you right now. Where was I? Oh yes, the nut. It all started because of a nut. Don't believe me? Let's go.
Where? A forest in North America. In the forest is a clearing where a large turtle sat. Not a regular turtle, a large bluish-green turtle that was the head quarters of the world famous Wild Kratts. Who are the Wild Kratts? They are a group of people, led by two brothers, who rescue and protect animals. They also like to go creature adventuring to learn about these animals as well.
Today, the inventor, Aviva, was working on the teleporter. What's a teleporter? It's a machine that moves things faster then light. Anyway, while she was working, the brothers, Martin and Chris Kratt, were arguing about which animal was better. "I still think that the wolf is the best predator." Martin exclaimed.
"No way! The jaguar is with its stealth and camouflage!" Chris countered. "No, it's the wolf with its ability to tirelessly pursue and bring down prey." Martin explained. Aviva looked up from her machine and glared at the Kratt bros. "Would you two please quite down? It's impossible to concentrate." She growled. Koki and Jimmy, who were reading and eating pizza, nodded in agreement.
At that moment, a squirrel passed by the Tortuga window carrying a nut. A harpy eagle swooped down and tried to grab the squirrel, causing it to drop the nut. The nut fell onto a red button on the teleporter. It began to shake and hum, causing Aviva to look back at it. "Uh oh." She said. A light filled the room blinding everyone. When it receded, the Wild Kratts were gone.
Where they went, you ask? Dear reader, they went to a world rarely seen by humans. A world where a young boy lives with wolves and learns the rules of the wild from a jaguar and a bear. Yes my dear reader. They went to the world of the Jungle Book. Let's continue with the story.
When the light subsided, Martin looked around, noticing the tall leafy trees and the dense undergrowth. "Guys, I don't think we're in the Tortuga any more!" He exclaimed. By now, everyone else had regained their eye sight and was staring at their surroundings. "Gee, I wonder what gave you that idea." Aviva said sarcastically.
"Okay, we're not in the Tortuga. I don't even think we are in Central America any more! Where in the world are we?" Chris asked. A howl pierced the air and Jimmy ran behind Koki. "W-w-wolves!" He stammered. Another howl pierced the air as a boy ran into the clearing. The boy had short black hair and was wearing nothing but leaf shorts.
"Oh! Who are you?" The boy asked. Martin looked at Chris, who shrugged. "Well, I'm Martin and this is Chris. She is Aviva, that's Koki and he's Jimmy." Martin explained. The boy nodded. "What's your name?" Koki asked. "I'm Mowgli." The boy responded.
Chris recognized the name. He pulled Martin aside and whispered in his ear. "I think I know where we are! We somehow got zapped into one of my favorite movie, The Jungle Book!" Martin looked at Chris like he was crazy. "You sure, bro?" He asked. Chris nodded. "Well, even if you are right, we can't stay here." Martin finally said. The brothers returned to the group.
Mowgli was watching some ants when a howl pierced the air. Mowgli lifted his head and listened to the call, and then he turned to the Wild Kratts. "My father calls, I have to go." He explained. "Wait, can we come with you? We are lost and have no idea where we are. Please let us come with you." Aviva asked. Mowgli nodded his head. "Okay, follow me. I am never lost in the Indian Jungle!" Mowgli exclaimed before running off, followed by the Wild Kratts.
