In his all time as CEO Wāng Sī Yuǎn hadn't met a girl like Sòng Nuǎn. She was as shy and innocent as they come. It was like she was untouched by anything that could've damaged her outlook on the world. (He wondered if she still believed in Santa Claus.) Sometimes when he passed by her desk and saw her pouting and shaking her head and just looking plain, objectively adorable, he had to smile. And he had to admit, the message Zhāng Shèng sent Sòng Nuǎn was rather true… except his feelings for her weren't as romantic as he made them out to be.

He smiled at the pair standing off to his side, Gé Gé the xiàohuā and the shy Sòng Nuǎn. The auditorium lights made the two of them seem rather like fairies. One smiled as brightly as the lights above, the other tried to shrink until she disappear from existence. He found the whole thing rather amusing, as did the crowd, but then Sòng Nuǎn spoke… or at least, tried to. She was too nervous to get the most basic sentence out. ("I… I… I… don't love you!") But after some pushing from her friend and a question from him, she opened up with a speech he wasn't expecting from a girl like her.
And then he remembered what he was like back in his college days: eager, so ready for what the world had to offer, but at the same time, so not ready. He listened to her impassioned speech, looked over the huge crowd of senior students, and then back to her. His smile widened and he made the proposition of recruiting interns. It was accepted with a mixture of shock, excitement, and that all too nostalgic, university graduate-eagerness. He genuinely did wish for Sòng Nuǎn (and her friend Gé Gé) to work for JM; it was like his reward to her for being able to stand up to a CEO like him and speak the minds of every student in the auditorium - in the whole university!
So when she decided to resign after being bullied by Fēng Huá's heir, he felt personally responsible. After using his executive position to uphold JM's promise of hiring her, making sure she didn't face any severe punishment from his sales head, and simply encouraging her, seeing her lose all confidence like that genuinely upset him. He remembered when his spirit was broken, when it felt like everything in the world was against him. He didn't want a girl like Sòng Nuǎn - so child-like and innocent - to face the same thing he had. So he ordered Zhāng Shèng, as reparation, to do everything he could to bring her back to work.
Wāng Sī Yuǎn didn't care how Zhāng Shèng did it, how long it took, or how much it annoyed him. He just wanted justice for the girl who made him relive his youth again.
