Burned: Continuation

I trudged through the rain and through the gates of the cemetery. 'Hopefully I can find her grave.' I thought as I walked through each row looking for her grave. I had grown up at the shrine listening to my grandfather tell us stories about his long lost sister and her half demon companion. He had told us that she lived in the past to be with the one she loved. He said that she would have died centuries ago, but no matter how hard he had looked, he never found her grave. The very grave I was searching for. Though the rain was making it hard to do so. I had started my search around four years ago and I was now 21 almost 22. I didn't quite know why I was searching for her so much, after all I only had her name, Kagome Higurashi, but I felt I needed to find her. It was strange because I was adopted into the Higurashi family when I was only three, so I have no blood relation to them at all. Yet Grandpa Souta said I looked just like her. As I was thinking and looking for the grave I saw a man with white hair lay a bouquet of flowers next to the grave, 'must be visiting a relative who died.' I walked up the row and looked down at the grave where he was standing next to. It was her grave, Kagome Higurashi's grave. I found her.
I looked up as the woman stopped next to me and was stunned at what I saw. She looked just like Kagome, yet not quite. Her eyes were blue and her hair was short. Her face showed intelligence and energy, whereas Kagome's had held a childish demeanor. Yet this woman was older than Kagome, but not by much. I stared at her while she prayed to the grave that only I knew of. As I watched her I grasped the old beads around my neck that refused to come off, after all she never got the chance to do so. When the girl looked up she gasped when she saw my eyes. I was surprised when she talked to me, she sounded just like Kagome I was listening to her voice not hearing what she was saying until she repeated herself. "You are a half demon, aren't you?" she asked for the second time. I looked at her with a confused face. "I can see your aura. My name is Karumi, did you know her?" at her answer and question I told her that I did know Kagome. She then smiled at me, just like Kagome used to do. "Can I ask you a favor?" I asked. "Sure, what is it?" I could not believe what I was going to ask her to do. "Tell me to sit." I said as I let go of the old rosary around my neck. She smiled at me with curiosity and amusement, "Alright, Sit."
A/N: Okay, I am a sucker for happy endings, but unlike Darkness I wanted this to be separate in case someone wanted to just cry their heart out. I know it is somewhat of a cliffy but it works really well. Read and review please!
