"Do you know," Raven said, "that black butterflies represent a person's death?" A black butterfly landed on her forefinger. Starfire looked at her. "Really?" She asked doubtfully. Raven nodded, as the little charcoal colored insect flew off her finger, flying high into the sky. "Aren't they are beautiful?" She asked. Starfire nodded with a smile.

The two females of the crime fighting group were in a field, taking in the scenery of blues of the sky and greens of the grass, which they were lying on. Starfire ran her fingers through the blades of grass and breathed in deeply.

"Raven," the red head said.

"Yeah?"

"I find this way of spending time quite amusing. It makes me feel-"

"At peace?" Raven finished her friend's sentence.

Starfire nodded, smiling.

This was their first time spending time together. Raven used to admire the butterflies alone. Starfire insisted on "watching the flying of the butter", she meant watching butterflies fly. "I really appreciate you bringing me here. We've never spent time of quality as a pair." The green-eyed teen said. Raven looked at her with raised eyebrows. "Why are you looking at me with that crazy expression, friend?" She asked. "Nothing. That sentence just sounds, weird." Raven replied, holding back her smile.

"Look, Raven!" Starfire interrupted the silence once again. "A green butterfly! How very peculiar!" She continued, pointing to the butterfly. The silent teen sat up. She stretched out her forefinger and waited for the green insect to land on it. "I've never seen a butterfly in green before." Starfire said. "Have you?" Raven shook her head as the butterfly's dainty legs landed on her finger. It's green wings were bright and luminous. She was mesmerized.

"What is the representation of green butterflies then, Raven?" Starfire asked, sitting up.

Raven shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't know." She replied. "But they do remind me of someone."

"Who might that be?"

Raven remained silent.

"You don't have to say it." Starfire said.

The other smiled.

Starfire smiled back.

The green butterfly then flew off Raven's finger. It then fluttered near a dark blue butterfly. Starfire's eyes widened. "Those two butterflies remind me of Beastboy and you." She said, pointing to the flying couple. Raven smiled. "Sure. The blue one matches my cape." She replied. "That is very amazing. I've never seen such a wonderful couple. Very compatible indeed." Starfire whispered, sighing longingly. Raven looked at her.

"The butterflies or-"

"The butterflies." Starfire cut Raven off.

"I thought you were talking about Beastboy and me."

Starfire laughed.

"That thought is silly, Raven!" She said.

The purple haired teen got up on her feet and brushed blades of grass off her cape and hood. "Are we leaving already?" Starfire asked. "It's getting late." She replied. Starfire stood up and adjusted her clothes. "Let's go then." She said.

They walked further and further. Before they flew, Raven turned behind and took one last look at the blue and green butterfly. They're still there, flying together, minding their own business. She then flew up, together with Starfire. The butterfly couple soon looked like dark blue and bright green dots. Raven smiled as she flew further and higher away from the peaceful field and into the sunset.
