Dear Sister- Please Forgive Me

By Darth Armageddon

Summary: The Son reflects on the death of his dearly beloved Sister.

He couldn't believe it. Just a few seconds- no, minutes- ago, his Sister-Ashla- had been a living, breathing thing. Then, fate tore her from the protecting, sheltering arms of her brother, Bogan. He was just- dumbfounded. Stupefied. If he had known what was going to happen to her earlier, he would have thrown away the temptations of the Dark Side and chucked the ill-fated Dagger of Mortis straight out the stained-glass windows of his Father's Throne-room, where the old man reigned in stately splendor over the bountiful pleasures of Mortis. He would have given anything to protect his Sister- in fact, even his life. But no- that Skywalker boy had to come- on his Father's orders, no less- and ruin everything. It was all really unfair in the first place. But what had been the final straw for him was the death of his Sister. Force- how he kriffing missed her. She had been the only one to understand him, to soothe his tempers. His Father didn't care, had eyes only for himself, the selfish old fool. And yet, he had been the one to do it. To plunge the Dagger into her back. When he had done that, he felt his heart drop like a stone into a well. He fled, terrified, but not before uttering a yell- a yell of a broken heart. "Why?!" echoed around around the mountains of Mortis, making lightning flash and thunder roar- equivalent to the Son's uses of the Dark Side. But when he thought about his Sister, of all she and him had done together, he cried. First, it was just one teardrop- nothing much. But then, more came. And he did not stop them. They were real tears- matching the rain that was just starting to descend from the skies. And as he cried, he thought about how his Father and that Chosen One would pay for the life of his Sister. They would pay dearly. For is that not the will of the Force? And as he cried, he began formulating a plan and a small smile betrayed his lips. He would be doing this for the sake of Ashla. Dear Sister- please forgive me.
