Magnetic
I do not own Inuyasha
A/N: Update 05-05-15 * 07-28-15
I made some of my own changes to certain things from the series so I hope you like it!
Chapter One
Walking home Kagome Higurashi normal 16 year old high school student was still upset at what had transpired today at her school; Shikon High. Starting to walk faster, warm salty tears streamed down her now red and blotchy face, not caring that people on the sidewalk were staring at her.
All she could do was try to ignore everybody at the moment.
"How could Inuyasha do this to me?" She kept repeating in her mind with a few other choice words for the man she loved, "I thought he loved me?!" As more tears ran down her face she kept looking at the ground.
"How could Kikyo do this to me? My own sister stabbed me in the back!" Kagome couldn't figure out why the two people she cared about most would do this to her.
"She knew Inuyasha and I were together, she knew how much I cared for him! What kind of sister is she?!" The black haired teen let a sob escape her as she tried to stop the tears from falling.
Looking up from the sidewalk Kagome took a left at a stop sign, looking around she noticed that no one was on this road. "Only five more blocks to go and I'm home free." Wiping at her wet cheeks with her black jacket that was over her white and green school uniform shirt she looked down at her skirt and bare knees, her socks stopping right before the knee.
Kagome could see dirt and a light red stain.
"Kami why didn't I take the bus!? None of this would have happened if I had taken the stupid bus!" Kagome reprimanded herself, she had forgotten her backpack, her knee hurt from where she had fallen when she had been running to try and get away from everyone at school, and to top it all off her heart felt as if it had been ripped out of her chest by her now ex-boyfriend and witch of a sister.
Hearing a car pull up beside her made her look up from the cracks in the pavement; eyes narrowed at the man in the car.
"Hey Higurashi, what are you doing walking home all by yourself?"
"Oh this is just great, now I have a jerk following me. What's next, pigs flying?" She thought angrily as her day just kept getting worse. Staring at the demon in the Toyota Sutra
"It's none of your business Sesshoumaru!" Kagome said, venom dripping from every word as she stopped and turned around to look at him, "and my name is KA-GO-ME! Not Higurashi, not wench and not Inuyasha's girlfriend, just plain Kagome."
Sesshoumaru stared at the girl as she began to walk again, no one talked to him that way; continuing to follow her the silver haired demon smiled to himself.
Either Kagome was a very brave girl or a very dumb girl. "Well then Ka-go-me where the Hanyou?" Sesshoumaru asked as he pronounced the syllables in her name to mock her.
"Like I said it's none of your business!" Sniffing the air Sesshoumaru could smell the salty tears that were once on her face, even if they were dried.
"So she's been crying?"
"Come now Kagome, what did the Hanyou do to you?" Asking as he turned the corner at the same time she did.
Kagome replied. "He has a name you know" Huffing in annoyance as she kept on walking trying to ignore the man driving besides her as she continued her little rant, "I thought you would know since he is your brother and all." Kagome knew that would strike a chord with the man. "But I guess we can't all be smart,"
Sesshoumaru chuckled, this girl didn't know who she was talking to it annoyed and intrigued him. He would have to put her in her place when the time was right. "Fine then, what did Inuyasha do to you? It must have been pretty bad for you to walk home all by yourself, especially all the way from the school."
Smelling the air, Sesshoumaru was pleased to smell the sadness that began to cover her anger at him. He knew the little Miko wanted to strike a chord with him, calling Inuyasha his brother. Once his plan was in action Kagome would be reprimanded.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Inuyasha didn't do anything to me. I just feel like walking home by myself," She lied, turning her head away from him to look at the houses she passed. "I don't need Inuyasha to be by my side all the time."
Kagome wasn't a demon and she could feel the lie coming off her in waves.
"He didn't? Then how come I can smell tears on you?" Sesshoumaru asked
"I fell and hurt my knee if you must know!"
"You did, well for someone who hurt their knee you can still walk pretty good from what I can see."
As Kagome continued to walk home she tried not to look at the man in the car, hoping that if she ignored him as much as she could he would just go away.
"I guess I'm just a fast healer because my knee feels alright now."
"Kagome you can drop the act that you are failing miserably at, we both know that I can smell all your lies. I know that Inuyasha hurt you." Kagome stopped short.
Smirking Sesshoumaru knew that he just hit a nerve in the little Miko besides his car.
Feeling the air crack around her Kagome yelled, "Just leave me alone Sesshoumaru!" Starting to walk a little fast, tears pooled at the corner at her eyes.
"But how would that be any fun, if I just left you all by yourself?"
"You're such a jerk Sesshoumaru!"
"I'm just trying to help you my sweet Kagome, I don't want Inuyasha to think that he can hurt you and get away with it."
Letting the words sink in Kagome stopped walking and looked at the silver haired man as he turned off his car and walked to stand beside her, turning her head to the side so she didn't have to look him in the eyes.
"You and I both know Kikyo only wanted him because you had him, she does it all the time Kagome, and I don't see how you haven't noticed it before." His words were true, anyone smart who saw the sisters together could see the way Kikyo tried to one up her younger sister.
Shaking her head Kagome replied as she looked up at him. "Kikyo would never do that to me,"
This girl was more stubborn than he had first thought; running a clawed hand through his loose hair the demon repressed a sigh that wanted to escaper his lips as he thought of ideas to bring the girl to his side if he wanted his plan to work at bringing Inuyasha down.
"You try to see the good in everyone Kagome," Letting out a chuckle Sesshoumaru looked into Kagome's bright blue eyes she was mad, upset, and confused. There was a slight tinge of red to them from her crying, she was an open book and trusted everyone she met. That was her weakness and that would need to change very soon.
"How did you know Inuyasha hurt me?" As she continued to stare at the demon in front of her, she never noticed how different he looked from Inuyasha, she really never got to look at him from this close up. All the times she had seen him were either from across the lunch room or if she walked past him in the halls of school the only one she knew who had class with him was Kikyo since they were both juniors.
Kagome had always thought the brothers had looked almost alike, like Kikyo and herself; besides Sesshoumaru's markings and pointed ears to Inuyasha average dog ones; she was very wrong.
Inuyasha had an almost deep gold to his eyes while Sesshoumaru's was a softer gold, their hair were two different types of color; Inuyasha's hair was snow white while as Sesshoumaru's hair had a metallic silver that glowed when the light shined on it.
"Didn't we go over this already?" Interrupting Kagome's thought; Sesshoumaru tilted her head upwards more with his index finger as he lowered his head so that their faces were only a couple inches away.
"I saw him with your sister,"
Kagome could feel his warm breath against her lips; her heart skipped a beat as she felt his free hand on the middle of her back, under her jacket.
She was mad at her own sister betraying her, upset that Inuyasha would cheat on her, and confused at the intimacy Sesshoumaru was showing her, Kagome didn't know what to do or what to think as she stared into golden eyes, the blacked haired teen was at a loose of words.
"I have a preposition for you Kagome." Sesshoumaru's lips brushed hers as he spoke sending a tremble through her body.
Sesshoumaru watched as her eyes fluttered shut; feeling the tremble of her body.
The little Miko was an open book to him.
Every emotion she felt could be seen in her bright blue eyes. That was good for him since she didn't try to hide how she felt.
Making sure to keep his large hand on the small of her back, the demon waited for her to reply.
Opening her bright eyes Kagome smiled. "What would your proposition be?" Looking up at the demon in front of her, Kagome already knew what Sesshoumaru wanted to do.
He had never liked Inuyasha to begin with so Kagome already knew that his plan was going to be.
Break down Inuyasha anyway possible. She knew that what had happened today at school would be the perfect opportunity to get her on his side. Kagome knew it was bad for her to get involved in whatever scheme Sesshoumaru was planning, one side of her wanted to forgive and forget while the other side wanted to make Inuyasha pay for not only breaking her heart but making her the laughing stock of the school.
"You'll have to wait to find out Kagome," Letting his arms fall from her small frame, he began to walk to the passenger door of his car. Opening it he gestured for her to get in.
Kagome felt cold once Sesshoumaru's large hands left her small frame. Watching as he opened up his passenger door and gestured her in.
Slowly walking to the open door; stopping in front of the tall demon, Kagome looked up. Blue met gold.
Looking down at her, Sesshoumaru leaned down so that his lips were slightly grazing hers.
Watching as her eyes closed, the demon could hear her heart flutter. Closing the gap between them for a light kiss.
Kagome welcomed the kiss. Inuyasha had never kissed her like this, it was always sloppy and rushed when they kissed. The gentleness that Sesshoumaru gave her made her feel special.
Sesshoumaru pulled back looking down at the Miko. A smiled graced her lips as she opened her eyes and got into the car.
If just giving her a small kiss made her act this way, then by the end of the week Sesshoumaru would have her eating out of his hands.
"This is easier than I thought it would be." Letting a smirk grace his lips the Inu demon couldn't wait to see how his plan played out.
I hope you guys like the new version of Magnetic!
