A Stolen Kiss:
(The italicized part is from the book, page 137 of the Kidnapped Colt)
"Gina, this is Ace, the smartest sweetest horse on River Bend Ranch."
When Sam planted a loud kiss on Ace's nose, Jake shook his head in disgust.
When her lips made contact with the horse's nose, Jake felt a deep feeling of sickness come over him. What was wrong with him? He figured it must be something he ate.
"I'll be in the corral," Jake said, and walked away.
When he reached the corral he thought and thought about why he must be feeling sick. It couldn't be the food. He'd eaten what Grace had cooked… and that was always good, probably better than what he'd get at home.
What was wrong with him?
And then suddenly the picture played back in his head.
Sam leaning over, her auburn hair falling over her face, kissing Ace on the nose. So why did that make him feel so sick?
And then he realized.
It was because something had been stolen from him.
Ace had stolen his kiss.
He then realized what he had just thought and his mouth fell open. What was he thinking? He didn't like Sam! He laughed, and walked back out of the corral.
But somehow deep down, though he didn't realize it, he still felt sick.
Jake, was jealous… of a horse.
Yeah, short and stupid, I know, but it was just something that came to me. Well, you know what you have to do. Read and review! If you liked it, or if you hated it, (which you probably did, cause I did) still review and tell me that, please?
Thanks,
