A/N: Well, it certainly has been a long time since I've uploaded anything on here. I'm now officially 21 years old, and I've got a 'potential' boyfriend. Anyway, I thought this up in my Management class today and I thought I'd share it with you. If it gets a lot of reviews/comments, then I might consider continuing it. I'm not entirely sure of the plot behind this, but consider this a teaser for an actual story.
It is InuYasha if that much isn't clear. It's my newest obsession and I decided to finally write something about it. No names, at least not yet, but I'm sure you can all figure it out if you read close enough.
The darkness settled over the countryside like a shroud. Even the night noises were quieted. A full moon rose on the horizon and lit up the little hut like the midday sun.
Inside, the rays of moonlight hit on a young woman's face. It was relaxed in sleep and she stirred and rolled over to escape the light. Her black hair fell over her pale skin and flushed cheeks. She gave a little shudder and curled into a small ball, even though her belly was swollen in pregnancy.
A shadow moved and a man stepped into the light, kneeling beside her. His hair was white like the snow and his ears stood tall on his head, twitching slightly out of nervousness. His amber eyes were full of worry and though he wouldn't admit it, he was holding back tears. He brushed gentle claws over her cheek and forehead, moving her hair off her face.
Outside the little hut, a man with dark hair and dark eyes sat by the door, a staff resting on the wall behind him. His arms were resting on his knees and his eyes were staring at the horizon. He was worried for the woman inside the hut, but he'd already ventured in once and nearly gotten his head lopped off. Now he was serving a prayer vigil, ready to leap to his feet and help if necessary.
Another figure outside the hut was a woman with a giant boomerang on her back. She was pacing back and forth, stopping to look at the door with fearful eyes before resuming her track. She was chewing on a thumbnail, her dark hair in a low ponytail hanging behind her back.
The only other creatures outside the hut were a little fox demon and a twin-tail cat. They were curled up at the dark-haired man's feet, sleeping soundly and completely unaware of the high energy in the air around them.
Well? What did you think? If you like it, lemme know. If it's liked enough, it may continue in an actual story. (And, No, Frodo, I'm not telling you what's going to happen!)
Leave me a review. You know you want to.
