Summary: Alex is in trouble!
11:30PM; outside the Rider household
Come on now, this is nothing to be afraid of. So I missed my curfew; it's not the end of the world. Jack will be cool about it, I'm sure. Or she'll tear me into itty bitty shreds and ground me for life. Yeah it's gonna be that second one. Unless..................... I climb up the drainpipe and then she'll never know! This should be a piece of cake. I'm an evil genius *cue evil genius laugh (quietly)*.
15 minutes later; half way up the drainpipe
Oh yes, this was a great idea wasn't it Alex. Lets go and get stuck half way up the a drainpipe; because that's such a good idea isn't it! I am so dead. How did I, a teenage ''superspy'', get stuck half way up my drainpipe at quarter to midnight? This is how Jack is going to find me tomorrow. Or splatted on the drive. I'm not sure which would be worse. Argh! Ok no letting go of the drainpipe to rake through your hair in despair! Great now i'm hanging upside down, stopping my self from falling by my knees alone. That splat scenario is looking more and more likely. Oh dear, Jack's light just went on. I'm doomed. "Alex Rider you are soooo dead!" Jack screamed leaning out of her window, looking ready to swing her prized baseball bat at my head.
