Author's Note: This is the first fanfic I made in a while, but I really wanted to make a fanfic on one of my favorite game series. I've gotta say that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Persona Series, so this is a fanfic I made of Persona 3. I just wanted to say that I absolutely DO NOT OWN the characters, original events, and game tittle, Atlus made this wonderful series. So without futher adieu, have fun reading this chapter!

Chapter 1: Reunited Paths

"Due to the malfunctions the station found in the train's systems earlier, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenient delays of the train's departure. We will arrive in Tatsumi Port Island Station momentarily, all passengers please be patient for the train's arrival." A train was heading to Tatsumi Port Island late in the night, due to a system breakdown that occurred inside of the train conductor's system panel in the afternoon. It took several hours to repair until the train was considered operational.

In the train, there were only a handful of passengers since most of them were getting tired waiting for the train to finish it's rushed maintenance. "*Aw, we're gonna be super late to our new dorm now! At least we're together again after years being apart Nii-san~" A girl with Auburn hair and crimson eyes said in a pouting manner to her blue-haired older brother, although her brother was just silently listening to the music in his MP3 player blaring in his earphones while also listening to her attics.

This prompted the girl to pout and glare at him, which didn't go unnoticed by the people around them. "Minato-nii are you listening to me! Say something already, you've been silent the whole day y'know!" Minato's sister argued about his silent behavior, to which Minato looked at his sister and quietly said. "I was listening to you Minako, I just don't feel comfortable talking right now…" Minato looked back to the train door to see a glowing blue butterfly, A glowing butterfly? I haven't seen anything like this in all the foster families I went through… weird Minato thought.

"Hey Minato-nii, it's almost THAT time again… are you sure we'll be alright this midnight? I'm a little scared…" Minako grabbed Minato's left arm as she closes her eyes to find comfort, Minato sighed as he tried to comfort her childish little sister. "*Sigh* it's alright… we'll be fine even if it's THAT time, we'll be at our new dorm lickety-split. So don't worry imoto (younger sister)" True to what Minako said, everything suddenly changes as the train arrived at Tatsumi Port Island Station. All electronic appliances and devices suddenly stopped working, as the whole was tinted with green, and the biggest change would be the people around the two transmogrified into coffins. Oh boy… it finally happened again Minato thought.

"Alright… I'm good already Nii-san, I feel very tired now so let's go to the dorm already!" Minako returned to her cheery self, I haven't seen her smile for ten years now… I gotta admit that I've missed that smile of hers Minato thought. "Well then, grabbed your luggage imoto. We're heading towards Iwatodai Dorm, that's a little far from the station so better move now…" Minato said to Minako quietly as he grabbed his bag since most of their luggage is at the dorm already they only need to carry some that were left behind. Minako nodded and soon both siblings left the station to find their new dorm, Iwatodai Dorm.

While the two walked towards their new dorm, Minako had an idea to lessen the tension between her and Minato. "So Minato-nii… how were you for the 10 years? I heard from Oji-san (Uncle) that you've been moving to different foster families quite frequently… I'm worried about you Nii-san" Minako felt a little guilty to hear that Minato had been returned to their orphanage often, Minato stiffed up after Minako said 'foster families'. Families huh… bullshit is what I've got to say, far as I can tell I was alone for 10 years… Minato thought while giving a subtle agitated look. "I… was just fine, I really don't want to talk about it right now. But how about you imoto, have you been treated well by your foster families as well?" If they didn't treat you well… I swear they'll be begging to end their misery quick when I'm done with them. Minato said to Minako while keeping his mouth shut on his afterthoughts, Minato would take all the suffering than letting some of it to Minako.

"Oh… w-well, I've been okay with some of the families I've gone through. But no family is better than having you back Minato-nii!" Minako was surprisingly clingy to Minato, even Minato was somewhat perturbed for what Minako would do if he was to somehow vanish from existence…

"Yeah, I'm glad we're together again after are long time apart. Anyways, the dorm is around the corner… right there." Minato gave a small smile as he looked at his imoto and resume looking at the papers on their transfering, as soon as they reached the Iwatodai Dorm Minako gave the biggest smile Minato as ever seen since they were little. "Finally we're here! Whoa, the dorm's huge! Nii-san let's go in already!" Minako manage to be even more energetic than usual again… hah, well it's better for her to be happy than miserable Minato mentally said as he looked at Minako.

"Wait a moment Minako, I'll just make sure that we're at the right place. You stay here and DON'T go wander off, it's dangerous to go alone at THIS time…" Minako was about to enter the dorm, until Minato stopped her and told her what he'll do. Minako seemed to be hesitant now to enter the dorm, so she simply nodded to Minato and waited near the doors. A small smiled appeared on Minato's face as he entered the building, he was greeted with a comfy looking lounge… but Minato felt something even more off than this mysterious time.

"You're late…" Minato was surprised by a mysterious boy dressed in an old school prisoner outfit talking to him, how is there a kid outside those coffins? This day gets weirder and weirder… Minato seemed confused by the fact that there was a kid that didn't transformed into a coffins. "Now if you want to proceed, please sigh your name here." The mysterious boy pointed onto the counter with a contract on it, this prompted a confused looked on Minato's face.

"What are you talking about?" Minato asked the mysterious boy with a confused tone, the boy was at the counter and looked at Minato with a small smile on his face. "It's a contract, just saying that you'll take full responsibility for your actions… you know, the usual stuff." This made Minato even more confused, he's expecting me to sign the contract? Hah… this day REALLY is strange now, but I'll just play along. Minato decided that he'll just end up more and more confuse if he overthinks this situation, but Minato thought of Minako if she's included in this contract.

"How about my sister? Is she part of the contract as well?" He straight out ask the mysterious boy if Minako was involved with the contract, the boy nodded no to Minato which was a relief to him. "Your sister won't be a part in the contract you'll sign, yet she has a big role to play in what is about to unfold this coming future." This stiffed up Minato as he gave a somewhat agitated look, If for what ever reason my imoto gets hurt in this, I'll swear to god that who ever gave this contract will SUFFER Minato tried his best to keep his mouth shut.

"I'll sign the damn contract, do you have a pen or something?" Minato just gave up trying to understand, so he thought to end this fast already. "Oh yes, how silly of me. Here's the pen…" the boy snapped his fingers as a pen appeared in Minato's hand and the boy seemingly teleport right in front of him, I feel like I'm in a dream, yet I know it's not… Minato thought with an interested look. Minato looked at the contract and signed his name on the bottom corner of the contract.

Arisato Minato

"You can't escape time." The mysterious boy spoke again, "It delivers us all to the same end, you can't plug your ears or close your eyes… so it finally begins." And in an instant the boy vanished out of existance, leaving no trace of his presence behind.

Am I sure that I ain't dreaming? The kid just vanished, the hell… Minato was beyond confused at this point, First he encountered a boy with weird fashion sense, next the boy made him sign a weird contract, and finally the mysterious boy just vanish in a span of a couple of minutes.

"Hmm… what a weird night, well better let Minako in-" Before Minato could look back at the door, Minako opened it already and peeked the opening. "Nii-san I heard talking, can I come in already-" Minako talked for a brief moment until another voice shouted at them.

"Who's there!?" A girl about their age with short brown hair was standing by the stairs, Huh, another one who could move at this time. She seems nice- wait… that a holster with gun in it… shit The instant Minato saw the gun, he grabbed Minako by the wrist and guarded her from any gun fire. He'd rather get shot than her sister taking it, "Minato-nii your eyes… they're glowing again." True to what Minako whispered, Minato's eyes were crystal blue though he's right eye was covered with his hair.

"I know… just stay behind me, I'd rather get hurt first than you…" The girl was about to grab her gun from her holster on her right thigh, yet Minato was able to deduce something. She's definitely bluffing, judging by her knees shacking like they're about to break and the fact that she LOOKS nerveous as hell. Yeah, she doesn't have the guts to shoot. Minato slowly approached the girl, she was also seemingly stepping back slowly. And after I stepped closed enough she pulled her gun from her holster until another voice shouted.

"Takeba wait!" After the initial shout the girl with the brown hair stopped as all the lights in the building turned on and Minato's MP3 player suddenly came back to life, the tinted green color dissapeared, and Minato's eyes returned to normal. Both Minato and Minako and the girl looked at the source of the shout to see an elegant and neatly dressed redheaded woman.

"I wasn't expecting you two to arrive so late." The red haired woman spoke in an almost disappointed tone, Hah… well, at least our first impressions weren't as TERRIBLE as you would hope… Minako mentally sighed.

"W-what?" The brown haired girl dressed in pink responded in total confusion, Well somebody didn't get the memo… Minato mentally sassed the girl. The woman with red hair looked at the brown haired girl and continued, "They are the new transfer students." The brown haired girl seems to finally relax after the snippet of information the red haired woman gave.

The red haired girl looked at both Minato and Minako, "I am Kirijo Mitsuru." The red haired woman introduced herself before turning to the girl in pink, "And she's Takeba Yukari, she'll be a junior like you two." Mitsuru then turned towards the two siblings, "Now then, could you explain why your-".

"Our train suffered a system breakdown, so the departure was delayed significantly…" Minako interjected, she didn't mean to be rude she's just an impatient girl. Mitsuru closed her eyes and then nodded, "I see, well could you please introduce yourselves?" Minako looked at both Yukari and Mitsuru in a cheery mood. "I'm Arisato Minako and he's my brother Arisato Minato, we're twins!"

Mitsuru and Yukari chuckled at Minako's cheerful attitude, Minato kept a straight facethe whole time. "Anyways, I suppose you should get to your rooms, your luggages are in your separate rooms." Mitsuru turned to Yukari " Takeba, please take Arisato to his room and I'll take her to her room." Yukari nodded and all four of them walked up the stairs.

"Kirijo-senpai, why did Yukari-san has a gun holster on her? I notice Nii-san was looking at Yukari-san's thigh and I thought he was just being a little perv, but I notice what he saw… so why?" While Mianko and Mitsuru walked to Minako's room she ask something very important, Mitsuru smiled and calmly talked "Don't worry, it wasn't a real gun, it was only for her comfort. Your brother could probably tell that it wasn't real when he got a closer look." Minako just sighed and closed her eyes "Well… he does some weirder stuff in the few days I've talked to him…"

Yukari and Minato walked in an akward silence, so Yukari tried to break the silence as best as she could and started a conversation. "So… you're not much of a talker…" Minato saw Yukari's difficulty to ease up the tension, She's probably trying to make up for the bluff she pulled earlier, well I guest I'll play along to ease up on the akwardness of this situation… Minato thought.

"So I've been told…" Minato quietly replied, it wasn't that he didn't want to convers with Yukari. It's just he's so inexperience that he doesn't know how to maintain a good enough conversation.

"Oh… um, I-I like your hair. What did you use to dye it?" Minato stood still and tilted his head in confused. "I… don't, my hair is natural…" Minato plainly replied with hint of confusion, Um… I think we're both making it EXTREME akward… Minato silently thought.

"What? Really?... huh, wow that's surprising… wait those that mean your eyes are natural too?" Minato wasn't bothered about the question about his hair, but a question about his eyes were… just new to him.

"M-my eyes?" Minato was just confused at this point, Yukari nodded "Yeah, I was just wondering if you use contact to change your eye color" Well… I suppose a person with blue-grey eye color is quite rare, so I can see her confusion on my eyes… Minato thought as both of them reached his room.

"Well… here it is, pretty easy to remember since it's at the end of the hall. Oh and here's your key, make sure you don't lose it or you'll never hear the and of it." Minato nodded and proceeded to unlock the door of his room, just before he opened it Yukari suddenly asked "Hey um… on the way over here… did you see anything strange?" Minato suddenly froze, Well she apparently DOES know, fuck what should I say? I don't wanna risk being wrong and look crazy, maybe I should ask about the kid with the contract… Minato briefly thought before talking again.

"Well, do you know anything about the kid down stairs?" Minato ask one of the obvious thing he saw before meeting Yukari, which prompted Yukari to be sorely confused. "A kid?"

"Yeah, the one who gave me a-… hah, never mind. I was just probably just seeing things, lack of sleep could do that to you…" Minato realize that she didn't know what his probably talking about, so he came up with a small lie to dismiss what he was about to say.

"Oh um… alright, good night Arisato-kun." Yukari said in a polite manner, Minato gave a smile smile and looked at Yukari as he entered his room. "Good night Takeba-san." As he closed his door and started to change into a more comfortable clothing, What a series of weird and interesting events today, I'm… still on the fence on coming back here in Tatsumi Port Island. Minato looked outside his window with a grim look on his face, after what happened 10 years ago… Minato drastically change that single day. I'm the only one who remembered what happened, and I hope it's for the better. Somany memories… but speaking of memories, that girl… Takeba-san… seems so familiar. Where have I seen her before? *Sigh* I'll think about it later. Minato looked at his clock. It reads "12:24" "*Yawn* I should probably head to sleep, I don't want to be late tomorrow…"

Just wanted to see what I could do with this new fanfic, but on a flipside the following chapters won't be consistant in uploads.
