Hello! If you clicked on this story, well, thank you ;3 I worked hard on this story, because I am trying to improve on pacing. If you have any constructive criticism, please tell me!
I have had this idea for awhile, I kept thinking day and night on it, until I finally forced myself to write it. I also made an instagram on it earlier, what's my instagram you ask? Guess. I hope you enjoy :D (I'm sorry if anything isn't accurate)

Ancient Egypt (or otherwise currently known as Egypt) sat on a large sand dune with a distraught expression on her face. She was leaning forward, her arms were propped up on her legs, and her face rested on her hands. Another one of her precious leaders have died. Truthfully speaking she barely ever spoke to him, maybe less than a dozen times; however it always does sadden her in knowing that another human life has past, and yet she's still there.
She stared down at her people, some looking mournful while others had indifferent faces. He was her pharaoh, Khufu, some people adored him, while others...not so much. She sighed, seeing the slaves working. If there was one thing Egypt wished she could stop, it would be slavery, it wasn't fair to see such good people being treated like that. Little did they know, they were about to make a tomb for the pharaoh that didn't care much for them.
His advisor had made the layout, and she had a copy of it next to her. She glanced at it, her blue eyes shone with worry. How many people would die for it? She rather not think about it. She was a country, and yet she felt like she couldn't do a thing. Egypt was left to her own devices, they barely mentioned anything to her, they treated her like a Goddess, and yet at the same time they treated her like a child. She picked up the piece of parchment and stared at it for a long while. She bit her lip as she glanced up once more to see the slaves, she winced when she saw them getting whipped.
She put the parchment on her lap and leaned back, staring at the blazing sun. "I am a country.." She started off with a whisper "anything I say goes, I'll make them listen" Egypt's voice gained more confidence as she continued "I'll go right up to them! And—" she paused "...and what?" She said, in a whisper once again. They would only laugh at her, feed her grapes, and send her off. Maybe if she were a man it would be easier. She gripped her hair "What am I going to do!?"
"Nothing"
Egypt jumped in surprise and turned around quickly, hurting her neck in the process. As she rubbed her neck, she noticed there was an odd grey creature in front of her, her mouth hung open as she gaped at the red eyed thing. "W-wha.." she couldn't form her words correctly.
It simply stared at her for a moment before repeating what it had said previously "nothing" it said. It walked forward and sat next to her, it continued to stare at her. She scooted away from the creature and they both sat in silence. She tried avoiding its big red eyes as best as possible, although she had to admit it was difficult considering that it was just staring at her. Egypt fidgeted with the bracelets on her arms, hoping the weird creature would get bored and walk away. It didn't.
Egypt took a deep breath and shakily said "hello"
Silence.
"Hello" it repeated.
She blinked, but then smiled. Maybe it could understand her? "What's your name?" It stared at her confused. Egypt frowned "What's your name?" She asked again. It didn't say anything, and instead stared at her lap. She glanced down to see what it was looking at a little flustered, must've been the parchment she thought. Egypt lifted it up and handed it to him, he took it and opened it. "Those are plans for a tomb" she said helpfully "it is for my great pharaoh"
It continued to stare at the parchment, however it did glance at her. Egypt smiled, knowing that at least the weird creature was listening to her. "You are odd, I like that" she hugged her legs to her chest, resting her head on them "I wish more people were like you; odd"
Those big red eyes looked up at her, it lifted up the parchment and pointed at it. "This" it said, it then pointed towards the vastness of sand, Giza Necropolis. "There?"
She looked down at the grey thing and then looked over at the area he was pointing at. Egypt smiled, "yes, we are building the tomb over there. It's a beautiful location, isn't it?" Truthfully speaking, it looked the same as every other place she had visited in the desert. Nothing really made it stick out to her. Surprisingly, it nodded. It pointed at her, and then at the sand. Did it know she was a personification? Was it trying to compliment her? She chuckled (she would later say it's flirting skills were better than Rome's)
It then pointed at itself and then the piece of parchment. She looked at him confused before understanding filled her face "you want to help make it?" It nodded "I…" she looked concerned, she looked at him and then at the poor slaves "I don't think that would help you in anyway, you'd get hurt. You're so— so small!"
It once again stared at her, before saying a word she didn't know the meaning to "fucker"
"What does that mean?" Egypt asked, it shrugged at her. He pointed at himself and then the plans once again, and then to the planned location. "If you'd like to help, then go for it" she said hesitantly "but if you get hurt, I won't be able to forgive myself"
It nodded and put the parchment underneath its armpit, it waved goodbye and then walked away. Egypt stared at it confused "what an odd thing" she whispered, not at all bothered that it took the plans for the tomb. Egypt wasn't the type to stress over things, but she guessed today was just a stressful day.
She thought of the weird grey blob and smiled. She really did hope she could come across it one more time.

Well, to say the least Egypt got her wish sooner than expected. She laid asleep in her bed, not noticing a 'new star' appearing in the night sky. It soared across the small city until it arrived at Giza Necropolis. It then stopped at its place and started to shine even brighter. Laser like things started to grab limestone and form it into rectangular objects, it also made a square pyramid shape.
Egypt felt a bright light shine in her eyes, she slowly felt herself stir awake. A little grouchy she looked out the window to see the shock of her life. Never before had she seen something so….so exotic. It was made of a material she had never seen before, and it was somehow floating in mid air. She could only look on in stunned silence as it started to twirl around. It started from top to bottom (which Egypt didn't even want to attempt to understand how that worked) it truly looked magical and breathtaking.
It was unworldly "beautiful.." she whispered to herself, having the image of the weird floating object burnt into her mind. She scooted closer to her window, wanting a better look. It continued to place the stones until the outside was complete, it then moved unto the inside. She truly wished she could see what was happening inside, she knew it would bring tears to her eyes.
Suddenly, Egypt gasped in glee. She thought of the slaves she saw earlier, how cruelly they were treated. Although Egypt knew this wouldn't give them freedom, she at the very least knew that they wouldn't have to die for this tomb. Tears had started to come out of her blue eyes, they built up a wall before spilling over. She put her hands together and looked up at the weird floating thing "thank you!" She wailed "thank you thank you thank you thank you!" She cried out to it as it had just finished completing the pyramid. It stopped twirling, and started flying towards her.
She almost screamed when it got close to her window, thinking it was going to crash through (thankfully it didn't) it stopped right in front of her. She stared at the machine, it seamlessly stared back. Then suddenly, the top part of the machine disappeared, revealing a little grey creature with red eyes. "You!" She gasped "you!" She said this time with happiness. She almost fell out her window attempting to hug it "you did it! You saved so so many! I could never repay you!"
It looked behind her, and then pointed at something, she turned around and saw the bowl of grapes "do you want these?" It nodded. She quickly grabbed the bowl and thrusted it at the creature "take them! Take them all!" She said with pure joy "take all you want, and come back for more!" It took the bowl gratefully and sat back and started to (somehow) eat them.
She looked at it expectantly, but it revealed nothing of what it thought about the grapes. "Do you want a home? Pick one! I'll make sure you get it, and— and we'll serve you the best foods!" It shook his head and lifted up the bowl, wordlessly telling her that the grapes were enough for him. She leaned back and sat relaxed in her bed, staring at the odd grey thing. "Oh ok….thank you. Thank you, for everything I mean.." she said, fiddling with her fingers, her face becoming red from embarrassment "I'm not usually like this" she said truthfully, glancing up at the moon "but I've been so...sad and tired these past few months, with my pharaoh gone and my people suffering, I guess I broke under the pressure."
The grey being ate the grapes, still paying attention to her. "I'm not sure if you know this or not, but I've lived a long life, longer than most people I think…" she said sadly "it gets lonely. I've heard rumors of other people like me! But i'm not allowed to leave here...so I can never confirm this myself. But you!" Egypt said happily, pointing at him "you've made me feel less lonely in my long existence. I-" her voice started to tremble "one day I might not see you. I know it's silly, I just met you! But I consider you a great friend to me. So thank you, thank you! For everything you've done to me"
There was a brief pause of silence "thank you" it said, handing the bowl back to her. She shook her head "no, you keep it! Think of it as a gift, so that you may remember me" it nodded, putting the bowl next to him.
She wiped away the tears forming in her eyes. "Please visit me"
It nodded. She smiled. "Goodbye" they both said before it took off into the night sky. She stared at it, a sudden realization hit her "he never gave me his name!" She sighed "oh well.."
Little did she know, the little alien friend that she made would (somehow) outlive her. It would live to see her die, and it would live to see her son walk around. It lived to see many weird and beautiful things, and it would live to observe the cycle of humans. It was depressing, but it didn't care, he would always have them in his heart

"Yo, Tony!" Yelled a young man with blonde hair "imma go to the store to get some stuff, wanna come?"
Tony shook his head, continuing to entertain itself with a video game. "Ok, whatever." Alfred said as he started to leave, before stopping in front of a bowl "oh hey, where'd you even get this? Egypt's gonna think I stole his stuff or somethin'"
"Fucker fuck" Tony replied.
The blonde shrugged "I see, coolio dude. Anyways, you want anything?" He asked
Tony nodded. "And what is it that you want? The stores gonna close soon" Alfred asked almost a little impatiently
"Grapes."
