I sit here, alone, in the half-light of this gray crystal chamber, my Tok'ra brethren quietly moving in the tunnels nearby. I look but do not see, hear but do not listen. Such hope we had not a day ago. Egeri, who was taken from us as quickly as she was given, is gone, and along with her the too brief promise of a continuing future for our people.
