Chapter 1
The forest has been always a place where nobody wanted to go in. The wolves and creatures were the rulers of the magical kingdom of jade. Even do there were exceptions; the magical people have been always accepted in the jade empire, some fair haired people were trusted with magical abilities because they were descendents of a long lost race that long ago was connected with the gods. But other races, the ones who weren't blessed with the granted powers, were never too open to this people…
A cabin has been always on the entrance of the forest, full of flowers, it stood proudly and agelessly. Some years ago a family used to live there but now only the daughter was left. Her hair was a beautiful blonde and her eyes were a soft blue, a pale healthy skin and a lithe form. Nobody understood why this young woman didn't like going into town, she only went for some food and she returned to her cabin. She wasn't interested in the young men in the town, her beauty was a magnet that has always attracted them, but her sweet but cold attitude drove them away. Her name was Zelda.
Zelda waked up lazily and went to feed her horse, a beautiful mane she called Epona. She had some bread and marmalade as breakfast, eggs were a luxury she couldn't afford and drank a bit of milk; after having her small breakfast she went upstairs to get dressed, she tucked herself in a light green dress she made herself, sleeveless of course the weather was warm enough to show her bare arms, without the "corsé" that was a fashion in those days, with a dark green ribbon tied around her waist and a beautiful pair of shoes.
She mounted her mane and tucked her bow and arrow, she may look fragile but she used to train everyday with her dad to perfect her aim. She walked through the first part of the forest were the sun shone brightly over the foliage above her head; sometimes she could see some fairies gently gliding through the thick air of the jade empire. Her eyes were as sharp as they could because she knew the forest was a dangerous place were people usually disappeared and never could their bones our flesh be found.
She went to a beautiful spring were some golden insect were visible. She kneeled gently and dipped her bottle-like container and got enough water for another week, she smiled and inspected her reflection: cerulean eyes were staring intently to her but she realized those weren't her eyes, hers were a lighter color and this ones weren't the eyes of a human… they were the eyes of a beast. She immediately rose and saw the blue-eyed beast; it was a beautiful wolf, Epona wasn't even scared of the wolf, she was somehow communicating with it. After a couple of minutes, she felt left out of something. Suddenly the wolf growled dangerously and Zelda froze, a couple of goblins were pointing their fiery arrows towards Zelda and the beast. What happened next was something Zelda never thought would happen, the beast attacked the goblins which such a ferocity they were all killed before they could even react.
Zelda mounted her mane and ran away leaving her fear behind, she knew the wolf could and would come back for her; she prepared her bow and arrow. If the beast wanted her, she would fight. Goblins blocked her way towards the exit of the forest, she knew they wouldn't leave her pass and aimed her golden bow towards the goblins, she closed her eyes "Forgive me" she thought quickly and shoot, they were three and now they were none. She raced towards the exit but when she was about to leave the sacred place, a Wolfo jumped out of nowhere and scared Epona, Zelda fell from the mare and loss consciousness, leaving the golden haired girl on her own.
