Author's note: This is the very short intro-type-piece to what (I hope) may become a series.
But right now it's just this, so read on, then be responsible and review my poor efforts at
poetry. Enjoy!!
Disclaimer: Harry is JK Rowling's. The poetry is, humiliatingly enough, mine ::blushes with
shame::
BLOOD AND FIRE: CHAPTER ONE: A BEGINNING OF A KIND
Endless day following hopeless night,
The planets follow paths through infinity more timeless
Than time.
The present passes to quickly,
The future is too long to wait...
Warmth burning up pallid flesh,
Sweat running from a feverish brow,
Like torture by dripping tap,
It trickles between closed eyes;
Red chilling to blue under flickering eyelids.
A soul sold long ago,
Brilliance rotted to hell,
Cold beauty disfigured by hatred,
A mind warped beyond recognition.
Beyond life ...beyond death ...beyond caring ...
Agony like no other.
Strange blood coursing through withered veins
More potent than any poison, more deadly than venom
Polar opposites combining, note merely blood with blood,
But blood and fire. One consuming the other, yet slowly ...
Author's Note: Suggestions for a different title would be gratefully recieved in your review.
Oh, and thanks for reading. I 'preciate it.
