A Wish

This poem is written to express my feelings for CamFan4Ever Her love and support has helped me deal with many situations over the last two years, and for that I thank her with this.
This poem is written by Link to Malon set just after the Ocarina of Time.
With the stars I'll write your name
With the moon I'll make you smile
With the world I'll share my time with you
Always and forever...
In a heartbeat, I hear you cry
In that moment, I'm by your side
Cry onto my shoulder, forget all else
Nothing but this moment matters...
You look into my eyes, they're red
A look of pain plastered on your face
I ask whats wrong, you turn away
"If only we could be together..."
I ask "Why can't we?" She turns
Her hair glistens in the moonlight
"I'm too far away. You are always away,"
I stand transfixed on her beauty...
"I may be far away," I tell her
"But in our hearts we are linked forever
Until we are parted by death or another
I will always be there..."
She nods and turns, her face wet
She runs to me and embraces me
Her heartbeat is soft, but soothing
I hold her close...
"A single wish," she says to me
"For you to stay with me forever Link,"
I nod, feeling myself begin to cry
Dawn approaches...
As dawn shows its face, she fades away
"No! Don't go!" I call, my voice choked with saddness
"Don't cry," she says. "I'm always nearby,"
With that, she's gone...
I sit on the grass and look around
Animalsfrom slumberawaken
And all I could think of is of what she said to me
A wish...
I know it's not a traditional poem, but it is one nonetheless. R&R!
