Doughnut Song

Vector and Charmy stood (or in Charmy's case, flew) in front of a wall, plotting their next prank.

"Well how about we. . ." Charmy whispered in the alligator's ear.

He shook his head. "No, no. Knuckles wouldn't appreciate that. How bout we. . ."

This went on for a few more minutes until. . .

"PERFECT!" Charmy yelled.

"Ssssshh!" Vector scolded the bee, holding a finder to his lips. He looked around to see if anybody heard him. The head of the Chaotix was relieved to see no one around. They waited a few minutes, Charmy flitting back and forth when their victim finally showed up.

"Hey Silver!" Charmy said, flying up to the hedgehog. There's a doughnut shop around the block that's having a special today! A doughnut a nickel, and I have a spare!" he held up a small metal piece with a hole in the center.

Silver looked at the small bee with suspicion. "What about you and Vector?"

"Weeeeeeeell," Charmy thought for a moment. "We already had doughnuts!"

That was enough for Silver. The gullible hedgehog took the worthless coin and went towards the shop.

"I've always wanted to try one of these. . ." he muttered.

When he was out of earshot, the pranksters burst out laughing. When they stopped laughing they waited a few minutes for the futuristic hedgehog to come back defeated without a doughnut.

When he returned, though, it was not Silver without a doughnut, but a fresh doughnut in hand.

"So," Vector said after recovering from his shock, "How'd it go?"

They waited for Silver to finish his treat, and he said:

"Well I walked around the corner and I walked around the block And I walked right in to a donut shop

And I picked a donut right out of the grease and I handed the lady a five cent piece

Well she looked at the nickel and she looked at me and she said 'This nickel is no good you see

There's a hole in the middle I can see right through' And I said 'Lady, there's a hole in the donut too!

Thanks for the donut, toodleooo!'"

They stared at the clueless hedgehog as he continued on his way.
