He stood weighing up his options, the fort stood tall, foreboding as he weighed up his options for getting inside. Weighing up the options he debated between an all-out war on the fort or a quiet infiltration. It wouldn't be easy to take without anyone getting hurt but if anyone could find a way it was him. He wished the rest of SG1 was with him his team, would have invaluable insight but they were the reason he was here. From the noises inside the tent he could tell they were distracted. There would never be a better time to strike. Carefully he picked his weapon designed for destroying as much as the fort as possible minimising the potential injuries. Silently he climbed to the aerial high point needing any advantage he could muster and there he waited.
His big break came after only a few minutes, fear was resonating from inside.
With his loud war cry he began throwing his weaponry onto the roof of the fort it collapsed with surprising ease opening up the inhabitants. They screamed in surprise. Belatedly he realised his plan had one fatal floor. The missiles sent into the fort early on came hammering back at him. He tried to use the advantage of higher ground but there superior numbers beat him into submission.
"I surrender" he shouted just in time as his wives fingers found his closely guarded ticklish spot. The fingers paused but didn't move.
"No daddy" Jake answered, "you broke the fort" he crossed his arms in a sulk.
"I'm sorry, but it's ready" Jack apologised. From the side a small figure launched at him, only years of military experience meant he caught her.
"Can we see please, please" Lizzy begged.
"Sure get your coats and shoes on" Jack agreed as Sam helped him up off the sofa as Teal'c and Cassie helped to untangle Daniel from underneath the blankets and cushions.
They went outside, daylight was fading fast but still it stood magnificent.
3 astonished gasps sounded though the quiet on the night. This wasn't just any tree house this was more like a tree palace.
The entrance started in a pyramid with authentic Egyptian hieroglyphs written on. Daniel had spent most of the week deciding on which to use. From the top of the pyramid it opens up with a ladder coming out of the top leading to what looked suspiciously like an Asguard mother ship, specifically the O'Neill in miniature version. In the window a small Roswell grey sits on the driver's seat. A small bridge comes out of one of the engines and leads into a castle based in another tree with a slide from the gates onto the ground. Out of the other engine another ladder wrapping around the tree going up. Standing on the top of the tree is a wooden cabin, a smaller version of Jack's Minnesota home, it's what he has been building all afternoon the reason the rest of the team were banished inside one by one even Daniel and Teal'c as he put the finishing touches on it.
After a few seconds of nobody moving Lizzy and Jake were gone, racing into the pyramid they spend a few minutes looking around as the rest of the team marvelled at it too. With it getting dark fast, the need to explore was urgent.
"And now I present my part" Sam said gleefully as she plugged in the wire. Magically thousands of lights came up as fairy lights made the whole place glisten.
"Cool" Lizzy, Jake and Jack exclaimed at the same time.
Normally bed time was 7pm but this was a special night, they all gathered in the spaceship, sleeping bags a plenty. It was a bit of a squash but nobody minded as they slept out in the tree house overnight.
