Her fairytale

There was a time that Lavender Brown was beautiful in every sense of the word, when everything about her shouted "I'm alive!". She was a happy, loveable person, but she was naïve and that destroyed her.

Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger were always in love, and everyone seemed to know it- excluding the two of them. Even Lavender herself knew, but being the innocent person she was, she forgot when he asked her out, she let it go when he kissed her.

It was good for as long as it lasted, and she was so happy- and he was happy for her. But one day, Mr. Weasley decided to accept his feelings for Ms. Granger. No-one considered Lavender's feelings, of course. It was convenient to think of her as the bad witch of the fairytale, the obstacle to Ron and Hermione's happy ending.

Seamus Finnegan had stayed next to her, as a friend, for years. He watched her be disappointed by so many guys; he cheered her up too many times to count. But he won't just stand and watch this time. Because this time she's breaking down; this time she's falling apart, and there's nothing he can say to just cheer her up.

It's him, the one who collects the pieces. The one who tries to brings back the girl who loves. It's him and he does it while swearing that this will be the last time; that no one will ever break Lavender again.

He visits her over the summer- a summer in which the world as they knew it ceases to exist- and he's happy to see that she's better. She's not the happy, naïve girl she was. She's more mature now; the war and the last let-down together made her stronger, different, yet still herself.

And someday- when all this is over- he hopes he will be able to offer her her own fairytale. After all, even the bad witch deserves some happiness in the end.

Happy Birthday, JacksonFrost! I wish you the best and I hope you enjoyed this little Lavender/Seamus. It was fun writing it:))
