so screeching and high,

so mournful and low,
that you hid it away,
so no one would know?
Have you ever had love,
so immense and true,
that when the love went away,
the world did too?
Have you ever had rage,
so fierce and so lean,
that the word consequence,
no longer had mean?
Have you ever met fear,
so chilled and acute,
that when you tried to scream,
your voice had gone mute?
Have you ever met pain,
so brutally alight,
that it robbed you of sound,
and blackened your sight?
Have you ever lost hope,
then knelt down to cry,
with your sorrows pouring out,
to the moon and the sky?
