Summary: Nami is sorting through her clothes trying to find something nice to wear with Robin's help. They had never realized there was a third member of their crew who was qualified to give out fashion advice. Set sometime after Fishman Island.
Just an idea I had, I figured Sanji had to be affected at least a little while spending those two years with all of those Okama.
Disclaimer: Nothing is mine, not One Piece, the characters, nothing.
"What do you think of this one Robin?"
"It's lovely for a night out, but perhaps not the best outfit to wear during the daytime, Navigator-san."
The two female members of the Strawhat crew were below deck in their room, Nami sorting through piles of her clothes while Robin commented when asked but mostly just sat on her bed reading.
They were expecting, as long as the wind held, to hit the next island by dinner and Nami was taking some time to plan her outfits. She was always making sure to look her nicest while shopping in order to get the best deals from male vendors. They spent the next few minutes in silence, while Nami threw most of her shirts into the pile of clothes she wouldn't be wearing while Robin returned her attention to her book.
"Well, this wouldn't be my first choice but what's your opinion?"
Nami was holding up a red-orange tank top with a block pattern on it, and Robin fought the urge to flinch at the atrocious color and design. Before she had a chance to open her mouth however, another voice chimed in.
"That color, with your complexion, would be a tragedy."
It was Sanji; his heading sticking down into their room and his expression was a serious one that the women had never seen outside of a battle before. They stared at him and he stared back and this went one for at least a minute, Sanji's expression never changing.
Nami was at a loss for words, true, Sanji was the best dressed male on the ship and was constantly expressing how their clothes only served to heighten their beauty but she had never thought it meant he actually had a fashion sense. She had always just assumed that he had perfected looking good in a suit because it was almost all he ever wore. As for his comments about their clothes, well, it was them and Nami knew Sanji would never say a bad word against them so she never took his words about their clothes to heart.
They were all still staring at each other, and three minutes after his statement Sanji finally realized what he had just said. His face reddened instantly and he made a sound like he was choking. He struggled with himself for a few moments before he turned back to them, not actually making eye contact though, "Lunch is ready."
That was all he said before his head vanished from their room and the two women could hear his footsteps making a quick retreat to the kitchen.
"I really would like to know where he was the past two years," Robin finally said. Nami looked to her, only just now realizing her mouth was open, and nodded.
Hope you all enjoyed it!
