Cherry blossom petals flew through the air at your sight. Your golden hair blew with the brilliant breezes of April, casting an elegant shine amongst the trees. Your playing was wonderful, inspiring. You taught me how to shine.

With you by my side, we were perfect.

So why?

Why did you have to leave? Like a luminous star you reached the audience's hearts. But then you flickered away your long life as though it was nothing. You grew tired, pale. All the life blew away from you.

Together, we were supposed to vividly sparkle.

We were supposed to play our duet again, remember? Remember that spring day in April? It was as though it was fate. You, as your brilliant, annoying self, taught my eyes to see color once again. You saw me as myself and you dragged me out to play the piano again.

I was supposed to be Friend A, your accompanist, right?

You didn't forget about the caneles, did you?

Without you… I…

Thank you, Kaori.

Goodbye.
