Chapter 1: Gaara's Heart

'Why him…'

'...The blond?' Asked the eternal voice of the demon inside him.

'…'

'You need sleep…'

'…'

'For tonight I will grant you it…' As Gaara fell into the dark hole called sleep he swore he saw the demon give him a vicious grin.

Naruto stood gazing into the fading light and turned as he felt another presence behind him. When he tuned he saw Gaara standing behind him. Then Naruto spoke his voice sounding far away.

"I'll never give up…" His voice echoed in Gaara's ears. Naruto turned around and faded away. Gaara stared and jolted when he heard the loud voice of his sister Temari.

"KANKURO GET UP!" He heard a loud thump and snickered. Temari probably yelled Gaara's brother out of bed. Then he heard a soft nock on the door as Temari entered cautiously. "Gaara-kun? I wanted to know if you wanted to come to Kahona with us on vacation?" He closed his black-rimmed eyes to think.

"Yes…" Gaara was bored. Suna is boring. No one was there to make life interesting for him.

'You just want to see the blond boy. Hmmm what was his name? Uhhh… Narun, Noko, Naruso…'

'…Naruto. And no.'

'Liar.'

'…' Shukaku smirked.

'Do I want to see him?' Gaara asked himself.

'Boy, I live inside you I can see your hearts true desires-'

'I wasn't asking you, dobe.'

'Do you want to know or not baka?'

'…'

'Your heart says-'

"Gaara-kun? Were ready to leave." Temari timidly said interrupting his thoughts. He nodded once and walked passed Temari heading for the door while his siblings followed.

Naruto stretched his arms over his head and the sound of popping bones followed. He did a few more stretches before he heard the familiar voice of Kyuubi in his head.

'Good morning kit.' She purred.

'Morning kyuu.' He said back grinning.

-hmmm…Maybe I wont tell him Gaara is coming today to visit him…I'll keep it a surprise.- Kyuubi thought to herself.

'…And then I'm gonna go beat up Sauske and then I'll walk around a bit and eat more ramen. What kind do you want Kyuubi?' Kyuubi was slightly touched Naruto cared what kind she wanted.

'Ummm…Fish curry ramen.'

'Okay, Then we can….' And Naruto went on and on talking about ramen and beating up Sauske. When they got to the ramen place(sorry keep forgetting how to spell name) they ate 10 bowls of fish curry ramen and left walking down the street and stopped when they smacked into something hard, Neji's head.

"Ow! Damn it Neji is that Byakugan good for anything?" Naruto asked rubbing his forehead. Neji glared and walked away. Naruto continued and was about to smack his head again when he looked up and saw a certain red head in front of him.
