Prompt: Embarrassed

Lindsay couldn't help but laugh as Adam all but launched himself into her office. His face was red and his eyes darted around the room, "Danny?"

She shook her head, "Day off. What's up, Adam?"

He blushed redder than before, "I, uh, I tried to ask Detective Angell out."

"What do you mean tried?"

"Well before I could ask her I accidentally spilled her coffee all over her."

Lindsay covered her mouth, trying to hold in a snort.

"Oh god," Adam said, turning to leave.

"Oh no, Adam, come here," she said, racing over to him, "Its okay."

"It's not okay. I'm not bad with women, Linds, I'm not exactly Casanova like Messer…used to be," he said carefully, not wanting to piss off another woman, "but I'm not horrible at it, but with Jess…I have no freaking clue what to do. She could beat me up if she wanted to."

Lindsay nodded, "That's true, but so could I and you don't spill coffee on me."

Adam shrugged, "Okay, maybe it's more than that. I just, I really like her, she's so…she's smart, funny, and sharp. She owns a Wii, Linds, and she has a better score on Guitar Hero than me."

Lindsay smiled, "She sounds perfect for you."

"She's too perfect. I'm not good enough for her. She probably wants to date someone tall, dark, and handsome."

"And you're what? Chopped liver. Come on, Adam, you're smart, handsome, and come on, you're eyes are gorgeous."'

"Really?"

"Seriously. Stare into hers for a bit and forget it. She'll be down for the count."

Adam smiles, "Is that what Messer did to you?"

Lindsay glared, "Don't push your luck, and annoy me, Ross."

"Right. So what do I do now?"

"Well, now, you're going to go and finish my lab results. After that I'd suggest apologizing and asking Detective Angell if you can take her out for a replacement coffee."

"I can do that…I think."

Lindsay smiled and kissed his cheek, "Of course you can."

"Thanks, Linds."

"Anytime."
