Our Original Character: "Wyvern" has traveled across many of the different realms and dimensions, but the most fascinating of them all had to be the Skylands. both him and his Symbiote had come here many times, making friends with the Skylanders, and learning more about the Academy.
But one day, the evil Symbiote known as "Venom" had infiltrated the Skylands. Having a throat-drying thirst for revenge on Wyvern for separating him from Eddie Brock. But first it needed to find a host, Who could it be...?
PLS NOTE: this is not connected to the show "Skylanders Academy". it is simply just a crossover story.
PLANET EARTH - Wyvern's home dimension.
"FINALLY, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS. WE'VE GOT YOU!"
In the dimly-lit offices of the closed Daily Bugle biulding, Venom and Spider-man had fought through a ferocious battle. Now normally, It's always the hero who comes out on top, but it was bound to happen eventually.
Spider-man was exhausted, breathing heavily, costume torn up, trying his best to get up off the floor. Venom could only smile hauntingly at the sight of his defeated nemesis trying to crawl away from Venom's bulking form, slowly and calmly approaching him. He had done it, he had beaten the one and only Spider-man!
When the jet-black monster stood above the red-and-blue hero, Spidey swung his fist weakly at Venom, trying to land one last punch. But Venom grabbed his arm and flung the helpless hero strait into the side of the office. then slung black webbing at him, sticking Spidey to the wall. The Wall-Crawler tried his very best to pull himself out of the black, sticky webbing, but to no avail.
Pretty soon, Venom once again stood before Spider-man, taking pride in his surprising victory, and like any villain, he took his sweet time to gloat.
"Aww, what's the matter Spidey?" Venom chortled obnoxiously, "too weak to break out?"
"You bet..." Spidey wheezed, even for this situation, he always had a comeback.
"You know... We've Always Wondered what you would taste like." Venom said, slithering his long tongue across his lips.
"then you probably won't be surprised, I'll taste just like every other human you've digested"
Just then, police sirens followed by red and blue lights could be seen just outside the window. Venom noticed a slight smile of hope on the Web-slingers face, causing him to frown in seriousness.
"Face it Spider-man..." Venom Shouted, "no one is going to save you in time! This is the day you die!"
Spider-man closed his eyes in fate as Venom opened his giant maw to start the feast of his long-hunted meal, starting at the head.
Spider-man and the viewers reading this story knew this was most likely the end... But it wasn't.
"Holy moly, you have horrible breath" a voice said out of the blue. "Ugh, I can smell it from here"
Spider-man opened his eyes to see someone in the doorway of the office. what was weird was that he didn't look like a S.H.I.E.L.D agent, or any law enforcement for that matter. He was wearing a leather jacket, jeans, Nike running shoes, and some motorcycle gloves. Suspiciously, all of his clothing was a light-grey color, with a big black dragon silhouette on the chest and back of his jacket.
Venom pulled his head away from Spidey's, closed his mouth and eyed the mysterious figure in the dim light, looking pretty miffed about the interruption of his main course.
"Who are you?" The Symbiotic monster asked, eyes narrowing in suspicion.
"Hmm? Oh I'm just another worker for the Daily Bugle." the figure said in a rather cheery tone, making Venom even more suspicious. "The name's Gordon Harper."
When Spider-man heard the persons name, He knew he was saved. Venom on the other hand, was clueless to the name. (No surprise there).
"Get lost, punk" Venom said abruptly.
"But this is my best and last shot to get a great picture of Spider-Man. C'mon, just one picture? Please? Pretty please?"
"NO! Now leave and let me enjoy my new 'Meal' in peace! Besides, don't you have better things to do?"
"Actually... Yeah I do. What was one of them again? Oh yeah, stopping you from eating the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man by subjecting you to your worst weakne-"
Venom laughed before Gordon could finish, "and what makes you think you can stop me?"
"I was getting to that" Gordon said sternly "By using your weakness to my advantage..."
He then extended his arm toward a red and white lever on the wall. It didn't take a quarter of Venom's memory to realize what the lever was.
"...LOUD NOISE!" Gordon yelled. In a Heartbeat, Venom lunged for Gordon, but it was in vain, the Fire alarm's lever had already been pulled. Soon, the deafening sound of bells ringing caused the symbiote to immediately react and try to run away from the noise, but Spidey was one step ahead.
Spider-man slung a web around Venoms arms and legs, causing the big black creature to stumble to the ground, shrieking in pain as the alarms kept ringing. Venom tried to rip the webs, but the noise was weakening him too quickly. Finally, the Symbiote started to peel and melt off it's host, revealing an unconscious and tied up Eddie Brock, wearing nothing but his underclothes and strands of dead Symbiote.
"Nice work, Gordon" Spider-man said, "But what took you so long to get here?"
"Please Spidey, Call 'Us' Wyvern" Gordon said as he untied Spidey from the wall, "Sorry I'm late, traffic came to a crawl. The roads were blocked off"
Spider-man gave Wyvern an "are-you-serious?" stare.
"I know, I know" Said Wyvern, "I could've flown or 'Web-swung' here, thanks to my Symbiote. But We wanted to take a taxi like a normal person would."
Spider-man rolled his eyes at Wyvern's excuse. "By the way, when you set off the alarm, how come your Symbiote didn't react at all to the noise?"
"Well, thanks to my 'Friends' in the Skylands, they helped us build up quite a resistance to loud noise." Wyvern replied, "We're almost immune to it now."
"Ah yes, you and that Realm Traveling device of yours" spidey said.
Just then, The S.H.I.E.L.D forces barged into the office block. "Get on the ground!" they shouted. But to their surprise, it looked like one of their 'Agents' had already finished the mission for them.
"Bout' time you guys showed up" Wyvern joked, "I started to think I had to carry both Brock and the Symbiote back to the Triskelion myself."
"Great work, Agent Wyvern" Said Agent Welling. "We'll take it from here. You and Spider-Man are excused" He saluted to Wyvern, and Wyvern Returned the gesture.
As the two Web-Slingers headed for the exit, they had no clue that a familiar black ooze was stalking them, trying to hide from the S.H.I.E.L.D containment team searching for it. It couldn't go back for Eddie, but it couldn't survive without a host.
"I'll kill him" Venom thought, "I'll kill Wyvern for ruining my best chance to finally put an end to Spider-Man"
Sorry if this chapter is confusing. I know some of you are wondering; "Where do she skylanders come in?" or "why didn't this take place in the Skylands?".
To make this more clear, this chapter is to explain the reason why Venom wants to kill Wyvern in the first place. I promise the next chapter will be in the Skylands.
