AN: Hello again! I return with fluff-ish something. o_o idk. Also sorry the title sucks. I'm bad at titles. ;-;

Dialogue is for losers.

Nezumi's return comes unexpectedly. Shion would be lying if he said he was surprised. It was how things had always been between them, it wasn't like the time apart would change this.

Shion has grown enough that he doesn't burst into tears upon seeing the other man on his doorstep. (He does end up crying later, though, and of course Nezumi teases him mercilessly for it.) He doesn't even run straight into the (slightly) taller man's arms, which both of them had expected him to do, a little bit.

Instead, he invites Nezumi in for hot chocolate and some snacks, with an air far more suited to Nezumi than himself. (How had he even picked up this habit, having been separated from the other for so long?)

The easily fall back into their old banter as they sit together at Shion's small kitchen table. Shion thinks he might have said something about Nezumi being a stalker, showing up on his doorstep after so long, despite the fact he had long since moved from his mother's home. But he can't be sure. He's mostly focusing on the fact that it has been so long, but now Nezumi is finally here, and he's not sure if it isn't another dream.

They lose track of the time, until it is very late. Nezumi tries to say he needs to find lodgings, and Shion insists that he stay here instead. Neither of them had ever expected anything different of course - Shion thinks Nezumi did it just to tease him, as per usual.

Shion does have an extra bed, but never thinks to offer it. Nezumi wouldn't have taken the offer, anyway. Not seriously, at least, though he probably would have pretended to, just to annoy him.

At some point, Shion realizes that Nezumi's hair is considerably longer than it was when he left. 'Probably never went to get it cut in the first place,' Shion thinks. He doesn't care all that much, though. He always did think long hair suited him.

They fall asleep in each other's arms, and Shion doesn't try to move, even when Nezumi kicks him in his sleep. (Just like he always had in West Block. He really was quite the bed-hog.)

Shion woke to an empty bed, but found Nezumi bustling out the kitchen, making breakfast for the both of them. (He only spares a moment to wonder how, exactly, the other man seems to know his way the kitchen so well. He probably HAD kept tabs on him in his absence.)

In that moment, Shion knows that he will not let this life go ever again.
