Monsters everywhere, they were surrounding her. Annabeth was trying her best but there were too many. She looked to her side and saw Percy fighting, sweat dripping down his face. She thrusted her dagger at the nearest monster, making it angry. It grabbed the dagger and threw it, sinking it deeply into Percy's chest.
"PERCY!" She screamed. She grabbed a vile of greek fire from her back pocket, opening it, throwing it at the creatures surrounding her. The fire blazed and slowly, one by one, all the monsters disintegrated. She ran to Percy, putting his head into her lap.
"Percy." She sobbed, stroking his cheek. "Don't leave me. Please. Grover needs you. Your mom needs you. Tyson needs you. Chiron needs you. I need you."
"Annabeth." He said, his eyes barely open.
"Yes?" She said, tears streaming down her face.
"I love you." He whispered. "I always will."
She leaned down and kissed him. She opened her mouth to say the last few words.
"I love you."
But he was already gone.
