~Tell me what you all think of this first chapter.
It finally seemed like Bonnie's existence launched into order the way she actually wanted it to go. She obtained her freedom from her enemies, mended some strained relationships and even managed to resume her lessons in school, which she so desperately needed. It felt good to be in a place where she didn't have to use magic to save someone. Not to be caught up in drama or scheming or plotting an enemies death. Yes, she knew her life was still tied to Elena's and that saddened her to the core. If there was something she could have done to fix it, she would have - but coming to terms she couldn't - the guilt she felt faded away day by day.
The Bennett witch sat up on her bed from where she laid, letting her eyes wander around her newly cleaned room. Either her bedroom had shrunk or she had grown up super-fast. Then again, she did have a whole house to herself. Most girls her age would have ran for the hills with all the crap that went down in here and Bonnie did consider it but concluded to keep it as long as she could. More good things happened then bad and she would rather hold on to the good. It was also a nice reminder of how independent she was.
Bonnie's hand reached to her nightstand when her fixation landed on the wooden picture frame of her, Caroline and Elena on their high school graduation day. She smiled when she thought back to the peaceful moment the graduates shared before hurricane Kol showed up.
She snapped out of dream mode phase, not wanting to cry.
Curse nostalgia.
Why did it have to hit so hard?
My goodness. Bonnie thought as she glanced out at the darkness that shot through her bedroom window.
Even though it was night, it was quite clear as day Bonnie needed something to do to pass the time before she fell asleep. The problem was, she usually fell asleep by 12 and it was only 7 p.m. What could she have possibly done for 5 hours?
Go to a movie? Nah. There was nothing good showing.
Go ice skating? Double nah. That was no fun alone.
Go to the club? Hm. Now that's an idea.
The brunette got off her bed and jumped in front her closet staring at her wardrobe. She pursed her lips a bit, not spotting anything that would suffice. The whole clubbing thing really wasn't her scene but it couldn't hurt to give something new a try. Besides it was a new year, it would be good to set out on a voyage to seek all or at least one of the three A's. Action, adventure, and attention.
Her hands fell upon a light colored dress that was crammed against the pits of her closet. Still on the hook, she hoisted it up to her body, measuring how it would fit. The dress was a dark olive green, with a flowery fringe around the neck. The sleeves were short but fitted and the bottom of the dress hung at her knees.
"A, green is not your color and b, that looks like something my mother would wear."
If this was a few years ago, Bonnie would have jumped at the sudden sound of his voice but now, it was something she got used to. She smiled and turned around to face her unvisited guest. "At least my mother wasn't a caveman who didn't know how to knock or use a doorbell."
"What can I say? You got more than you bargained for." Bonnie strided out of her closet and into her bedroom, smirking at Damon who sat on her window ledge like it was the most comfortable place in the world. "Did you miss me Bon bon?"
