The Legend of Knuckles' and Tikal the
Echidnas'
...Long ago, in days long passed, there was a beautiful island called Angel Island. But this was no ordinary island, this one floated! On this island lived a tribe of Echidnas'. Their tribe leader was Tiemuche. He had a beautiful daughter Tikal, her name ment one with the earth, and her fur was the color of the sand around the edges of island. And a son named Knuckles'. His name didn't really mean anything. His name was Knuckles' because of the two protruding knuckles' on both his hands. His nick name was Ruby because his fur was as red as one. ...Now you must be wondering what keeps the island floating? Deep under ground in the middle of the island was the Master Emerald. It had mysterious powers and if it were to fall into the wrong hands it would be a disaster. ...One day in the mouth of May, Knuckles' and Tikal were exploring around the island. It was there 18th birthday and they where finally able to go out on there own. Suddenly, the ground shuck rapidly! Knuckles' and Tikal where wondering what was going on, but then they got a strange felling, and they knew they had to go under ground immediately! So they dug into the ground with all their might. Soon they reached the middle of the island, and they saw the biggest emerald they ever saw. Tikal noticed that the emerald was moving. Knuckles' told Tikal to follow the emerald. They followed the emerald to the surface. There they saw their worst enemy Dr. Eggman about to carry it away with his egg - mobile. Tikal had an idea. She told Knuckles' to glide up and smash the master emerald. Knuckles' couldn't think of a way to smash it, but then he decided to use his knuckles'. He glided up to the emerald at full force and with his sharp knuckles' tore trough the emerald like tissue paper, breaking it into a million pieces, and scattering it all over the earth. And this is why people wear emeralds on their rings , and why the emerald is the birth stone of May.
