"Return of the Cluster"
"A Steven Universe Fanfiction"
It was a beautiful day in beach city, Steven and the gems were going to the barn to see peridot and lapis.
"I can't believe how long it's been since we've seen Lapis and Peridot." Said Steven,
"Right to believe it's only been a month since our battle with jasper." Amethyst replied, they get there only to see a bunch of clipboards charts and Peridot and Lapis freaking out. "Whoa where's the fire!" said Pearl "seriously there isn't a fire is there?" she continued.
"IT'S CATASTROPHIC!" Screamed Peridot, "What's wrong?" asked Steven "Me and lapis have been conducting research, and it turns out THAT THE CLUSTER IS UNBUBBLING IT'SELF!" Replied an emotionally shook Peridot. "How is this even possible?" asked Steven, "I don't know but you know what this means Steven… we're going back underground!" replied Peridot with a stroke of confidence.
"But how are we going to get back down there?" asked Steven "Well I've made some modifications to the previously destroyed drill." Replied Peridot she then pulls out the newly restored drill. "You see over the past 2 weeks me and Lapis have been rebuilding the drill. It now has rocket thrusters to get us underground to the Cluster 20 shield mechanisms and… A CUPHOLDER!" explained Peridot "Wow you really went all out on this." Said Steven "It's state of the art now!" replied Peridot. The earth then started rumbling.
"THERE'S NO TIME TO WASTE!" exclaimed Peridot.
"Welp I guess it's time to go but what about the gems?" asked Steven, "Well you see using this computer device the gems and lapis will be monitoring our adventure!" explained Peridot while giving the gems and lapis there handheld device. "AND NOW WE GO!" exclaimed Peridot while another earth quake happens. Steven and Peridot get in the drill while the others are saying goodbye and good luck. They then start going underground.
The drill is going under and under the hole where they had previously drilled has been sealed up. They keep going for what feels like 6 hours but really it's been 2. They then hit lava with every millimeter they drill the lava just get's brighter and brighter Steven get's hotter and hotter but Peridot is fine because gems don't feel hot or cold. They then get attacked by a creature that's just pure static with a static lightning bolt tale and no gem. "WHAT IS THAT THING IS IT ONE OF THE CLUSTER PROTOTYPES!" shouted a worry filled Peridot "It isn't like any corruption or gem mutant I've ever seen!" exclaimed Steven. By wiggling around a little they are able to shake the creature off. They then reach the cluster to see pink round bubbles disappearing and a faint ghastly voice saying "Tired… tired of being trapped."
All the bubbles then disappear a bright light starts to admit from the cluster and the ghastly voice is on repeat getting louder and louder. Peridot looks up at Steven "I don't want to be shattered." she says shedding a tear. "I won't let you be!" he replies that hug and all of a sudden a mixture of green and pink
starts covering the cluster "WHAT'S HAPPENING!?" shouted peridot "I think we're both bubbling the cluster!" says Steven "I wonder what would happen if we say sent it to the temple?" they both try to send it to the temple/barn it disappears and the drill starts falling "AHHHHHHHH" they both scream.
Peridot hits a button that activates the thruster the drill then acts a jet/rocket ship, they fly up back to the surface to see that the cluster is in space "HOOOOOOW!?" screamed pearl. They then noticed that Peridot and Steven were back "what happened!? She continued… there was a slight pause "we… sent it to the temple!" Said Peridot and Steven at the same time a star then zoomed in on them and turned to black.
