Disclaimer: Poem written about Matt, lovely character as concocted by people who work for Toei and...other people...anyway, it's an homage, not an attempt to make money. Poets don't earn much anyway.

Trickster's Truth

Young in body but old at heart
A shadow to my brother, and to the others, worlds apart
Memories dance before my eyes
As taunting and elusive as the shifting lights of sunrise
Today or tomorrow, they blend as one
Oblivious to this wounded heart; my purpose now is done

In what seemed like seconds but were really many days
Silently we all grew up; most in better ways
However, there is one left here reflecting on his life
Indescribably lost, and confused in all the strife
Does this mean I truly am behind; the trickster spun some truth?
And if it does, and if he did, I'm right - there is no greater pain than youth

A/N: That was supposed to be him reflecting during his "break" where he disappeared for quite a while, shortly after meeting Cherrymon. I wrote it because I found my "name poem" from 7th grade, where we had to write a poem about ourselves using the first letters in our 1st and last names. In case you didn't notice, the 1st letter in each line vertically spells "Yamato Ishida".
