Shinsou didn't know what it felt like, to be controlled by his own quirk. Well, at least not until now. It was an odd experience. Now he understood why no-one thought he could be a hero with this quirk. But that still wasn't going to stop him from trying.
You might be thinking, 'How is Shinsou being controlled by his own quirk?' and there is a simple answer to that. The answer, is Monoma Neito. Class 1-B's local pain in literally everyone's ass.
Shinsou wasn't paying attention to where he was going and ran straight into Monoma. He would admit that was a mistake. What was a bigger mistake, however, was not realising it was Monoma and immediately replying to his angry shouts with a quick sorry.
As it turns out, when you are under the control of his quirk, everything goes sorta fuzzy and it's hard to tell what's really happening. At points he just doesn't even know what happens, it's like he blacks out. He could hear Monoma say, something, but he had no idea what it was. He also felt his lips move and noise come out of his mouth. He didn't know what he said, though. That was not something he wished to experience again. It felt unexplainably weird.
Suddenly, he was walking in the opposite direction to the general studies dorms, which was where he was headed in the first place. He racked his brains trying to figure out what was this way. Then it dawned him. Or, at least, the big dorm buildings did. The hero studies dorms.
He panicked. Why was he going this way? What did Monoma ask him to do? This could not be good. He tried to move, to speak, to have any control whatsoever over his body, but nothing happened. No wonder no-one thought he'd be able to become a hero. This was terrifying.
He must've blacked out again because, suddenly, they were a lot closer to the hero studies' dorms. But they weren't walking towards class 1-B's dorms. Actually, they were walking towards class 1-A's. That did not make Shinsou feel better. How long until Monoma's quirk wears off? Had it not been 5 minutes yet?
Once again, he must've blacked out because he was knocking on the door of 1-A's dorms. Monoma was not in his eyesight, but it's not like he can look around anyway. A hazy, red-haired figure opened the door. He presumed it was Kirishima, the guy with the hardening quirk. He saw his fuzzy mouth move but didn't hear anything comprehensible. He heard himself reply, no idea what he said but the redhead opened the door wider and Shinsou walked into the building.
He immediately started to walk over to the living space where, from what he could tell, at least most of the dorm's residents where. He recognised a few by their fuzzy hairstyles. Midoriya, Bakugou, Todoroki, Uraraka and Tsuyu to name a few. He wasn't all that bad at remembering names. He watched Midoriya get up and walked over to him, saying something.
Once Midoriya was in front of him, he stepped forward and took his chin in both of his hands. Even through the fuzz, Shinsou could see his eyes widen. Shinsou was a little shocked himself. He didn't know what was going on and was also at least a little concerned that no-one had noticed he was being used by a quirk. His own quirk, for that matter.
What happened next, shocked him. He really didn't expect it.
Shinsou closed the gap between Midoriya's mouth and his. He felt that. He felt the warmth and the texture of Midoriya's lips on his own. He even slightly missed the warmth when he pulled back, not that he'd admit that. He dropped his hold on Midoriya's chin. As soon as his hand left Midoriya's chin, his vision came back into focus and he heard the eerily silent room. It made him question if Bakugou was even still in here.
You could say the shock was delayed. The realisation too. He had just kissed Midoriya. Midoriya was staring at him, wide eyed and open mouthed. "Sorry?" Shinsou tried.
Then, another realisation hit him.
Monoma.
For Monoma's sake, he hoped he had moved to a different planet. Because if Shinsou ever saw him again, or found him for that matter, then he'd be wishing he was never born.
