Hidey-ho. Been a while since I've done any Laby work. I'm not entirely sure where this came from, but here it is. It just kinda struck me last night as I was watching the movie. Reveiw please, let me know what you think, good or bad, I care not. I need to go revamp my other Laby stories, but I thought I'd dabble first, see what comes of this. Thanx all!!

Disclaimer: Not mine, never was, won't ever be and all that rubbish.

She stood before him exposed for what she truely was; a child.

She saw in his eyes everything he offered, bare before her; eternity.

"You have no power over me."

The words tumbled out, echoing and corroding the very air around Sarah and the Goblin King. The second the words escaped her lips she regretted them, but they escaped, nonetheless.

He offered her the world, her dreams. Everything. He'd done everything for her. She wondered why she would ever have rejected it. Such a fool, and she didn't even realize until it was too late. What had posessed her? Some childish game? Stubborn nature, perhaps? Whatever. It was nothing compared to what she saw then in his green/black eyes and she would take the words back a million times if he would only let her.

Too late.

His eyes shown his heart shattered, much like the crumbled world around them. She wanted nothing more than to cry out that her heart would be broken, if only it would heal his. The image of his eyes at that very moment before he tossed the crystal into the air would be burned into her mind to haunt her dreams and nightmares for the rest of her natural life. The infinite sorrow, like the splinter in Kai's eye, would taint her very existence. She fell, and her only awareness was warmth as her world turned into a flurry of cloth and robe until she was in her own house again and the snow white barn owl took to the air, leaving her alone.

'Fare thee well Goblin King. I shall see you again, someday.'

Sarah ran up the stairs to check on Toby.
