You were once my only friend,
I thought you always would be, even at the end.
We had our fights, but, they never really mattered;
But then one day our world was gone, and our dreams forever shattered
I searched so hard to find you, and eventually I did,
But, you weren't the same, you just, weren't you, behind a mask you hid.
I wanted you to stay with me, to be together once again,
But instead you left, and into darkness did descend.
We fought for a common goal, you in your way, me in mine.
I hated you, and you hated me, but the goal we couldn't find.
I knew you loved her, because frankly, I did too.
But our love broke our hearts, and we never even knew
But then at the end, it was only us...
And despite our hate, and broken trust,
We worked together, just like before,
And together we found the final door.
So now I stand here, to say goodbye,
But I find...I can't; and so instead I cry
I promise you, I'll find you someday once again,
Because...I love you, my best and dearest friend.
