The early morning winds blew through the town of Небольшое Место as Simon woke himself up. He stared at the small, sleeping figure that had laid next to him. Shannon, his girlfriend, was sleeping. He shivered as he pulled on his clothes quietly, and wrapped himself tightly in a coat. He pulled the blankets up closer to Shan, kissed her head, and quickly walked out of the house before Shannon woke up.

He walked in to the newly snowed in town, he was used to waking up and seeing snow in a town where the day before, it had been sunny. Swedish-born and raised, he was already used to the cold, but growing up in the warmer south of Sweden, the temperature never did quite reach the temperatures Небольшое Место could reach.

He could feel the stares he got as he walked away from the town and to the school this town was next to. EESM, standing for the Eastern European School of Magic, or also known as the Slavic School of Magic, was the biggest school for wizarding children of Eastern European descent. Nordic children were allowed too, and Simon would have been allowed even if he had applied for the school's international student program. His father, Dmitri Rasskazov, was the headmaster of this school.

The story of Simon started with him meeting an Icelandic-British woman, Eydís Eyrie. By then, he was a teacher at EESM, and he was heading toward it, when he stopped in Sweden, attracting two Swedish woman, his mother, Aslög Mikaelsson, and a prostitute, Linnea Stefansson. By the time Christmas rolled around, and his father was at EESM, the news came that Eydís had given birth to their son, a boy named Tristan, and Aslög and Linnea were pregnant. In January, Linnea gave birth to twins, a girl, Kajsa, and a boy, Kristoffer. Then, in April, Aslög gave birth to him, Simon Axel Mikaelsson.

Simon gets along with his father, but has never truly forgiven him for choosing Linnea over his mother. Although the relationship his father pursed had lasted about three years, it was still three years that his mother could've gotten happiness. Oh well, it was in the past anyway.

Simon headed toward the apartment of Kateryna Vrubel, more commonly known as Kat, and knocked at the door, really hoping she wouldn't be pissed at the hour. No answer. He knocked again. Still no answer. He knocked again, this time, he's sure the neighbors are going to strangle him, and the door opens. It's obvious Kat just woke up, as she looks half-dead (No make-up, hair's a mess) and she's just staring at him, like a half-deadly, half-adorable glare. Like the ones cats give. She stepped by to let Simon in.

"Proposing to Shan, I plan to be away the whole day and I need somewhere to hide?" Simon said as he stepped in, taking off his coat as Kat closed the door.

"Hide you? Hide. That's a weird thing to do. I'll do it anyways. Because it's my best friend. Erh-mah-gerd, Shannon's going to get engaged!" Kat said as she started jumping around and fangirling.

"I have, like, a closet that I've never shown anyone because what if I needed to hide? So, get whatever you need to entertain yourself, and I'll knock on your door twice if Shan comes, ok?" Kat remarked as she lead him to her closet.

After nearly 13 hours and three close calls, Simon left the closet, while Kat bounced around him.

"Oh my god, the moment's here, come back the moment she says yes so we can all celebrate, go go go!" Kat exclaimed excitedly as she pushed Simon outside the door. Simon grinned as he hurried to the shops, by now, it was dark, but there was still lights all around, the shops wouldn't close until an hour or two. As he hurried up the steps of the apartment, he stopped suddenly to feel the box that contained the ring. He placed a shaky hand on the door, and pushed open.

"Where the fuck were y-"

Simon quickly got on one knee and pulled out the ring box, opening it.

"Marry me?"
