"Yay. Dances." you think to yourself sarcastically.

You got dragged into this predicament by Grover who promised a good time and unforgettable moments. So far neither promise had been kept and Grover had disappeared. Shaking your head you start toward the buffet when you spot her. Blond hair, grey eyes, white dress, and white high heels.

"Run for it." you think to yourself as you turn around.

"Percy?" comes a voice from behind you.

You take a deep breath and turn to face the voice.

It's Annabeth. Smiling at you holding a glass of punch in one hand and a cookie in the other.

You put on a smile despite your heart threatening to attack.

"Annabeth! What are you doing here?" you exclaim trying not to stutter.

Luckily the dance lights mask your blushing face.

"I'm here with my boyfriend."

"Oh, cool." you say. Trying not to look like your heart just broke in half.

"Just kidding! I'm here with Thalia. She promised food." she says laughing.

"Oh, that's cool too." you try not to look to relieved.

"Can you help me find her by the way?" she asks.

"Who?" you ask.

"Thalia, silly" she teases.

"Sure." you smile.

She grabs your hand and drags you to the four corners of the earth looking for Molly to no avail.

"Well that sucks. Guess we're in the same boat."

"Yeah." she agrees looking at the ceiling in deep though

"You okay?"

"Yeah, yeah." she reassured unconvincingly. "I'm fine."

"Annabeth." you ask.

"Yeah?" she says in a distracted tone.

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

"What?"

"Boyfriend. You got one?"

"Not yet. No."

"You wanna see something cool?"

"Why not!" she says. Life jumps back into her eyes as a smile lights up her face again.

You hesitate, wondering of you should grab her hand or not, but you decide against it. You walk to the exit and out into the warm night air.

The sun was almost set and the last rays of orange light filtered through the over cast clouds giving the whole world a surreal feel. Like someone put an instagram filter on everything.

"Where are we going?" whispers Annabeth. She's standing next to you still in shock at the view.

The high school is perched on a hill over looking the entire little town in the middle of nowhere.

"Come on." you say as you sprint to the back of the building.

You climb a maintenance latter to the lower roof.

"Are we allowed up here?" she asks.

"Welllllll no. But that hasn't stopped me before." you smile.

You both run across the roof and climb the latter to the upper roof.

"Wow. That's a long way down." she says cautiously leaning over the edge to look down.

"Oh this? This is nothing." you say standing on the edge.

"Oh my gosh!" she yells. "Get down from there!"

She grabs your arm as you step down. She peers over the edge timidly again.

You both stare in ah at the sunset for awhile until she breaks the silence.

"I wasn't sure if i should tell you this earlier but now seems like as good of a time as any. Percy, i really-"

"I know."

You two sit silence until she puts her arms around your neck and starts kissing you.

You pick her up bridal style with out breaking your kiss and sit down with her in your lap.

"I guess Grover delivered on the 'unforgettable moments'." you think to yourself.
