A/N: Just a drabble I thought of… It happens in third year. I don't own HP.

My father didn't strut!

Harry Potter, that blasted child, didn't think James Potter strutted? Oh, Severus thought, if Potter junior only knew.

Severus would never forget it.

Potter senior had swaggered into the Great Hall with his best friend in tow, both of them with overzealous grins on their faces that simply screamed mischief.

They moved to the edge of the Gryffindor table before they got onto it simultaneously, their wands moving the food out of the way and then… they started to literally strut their stuff on top of the Gryffindor table.

They swung their hips and moved their shoulders, each striking a different pose and making pouting faces at several girls. Or rather Black did, Potter just had eyes for Lily. Severus had growled, causing Lucius to pump him in the ribs.

Severus looked to the professors for help, but Dumbledore was laughing too much, Mconagall was having a hard time supressing her own laughter and the other professors didn't even try.

The young Slytherin boy looked at his best friend and was relieved to see that she was just as annoyed as he was.

He poured himself tea and ignored the Gryffindor table – if Lily could ignore it, so could he.
