Kappaka's Pokemon Journey: Prologue

A man has to leave his wife to go on the journey of his dreams. The wife respects his wishes and promises him that she will let her newborn child follow his/her dreams.

It was a dark and rainy night in Pallet Town. A woman and a man were at their abode, saying their last good-bye's to each other.

"I'm afraid you have to leave soon, Kenmei," the woman said, clinging on to her husbands hand.

"I know, Unmei. I wish you could come with me."

Unmei nodded, then she burst into tears. Her husband held her while she cried. Then she whispered, "This is your dream. Do not worry about me. I will be here with our child once he or she is born. Hopefully my child will understand why you had to leave."

Kenmei hugged her tighter and said, "Our child, Unmei." He paused a moment. Then he said, "I hope this child will make you happy. Whatever dream that he or she has, have him or her follow it. Promise me that."

Unmei looked at him and said, "I promise."

With a kiss good-bye, Kenmei walked into the grass of Route 1, hoping he returns to see his wife and finally meet his daughter or son.

That night, Unmei gave birth to a girl. She gave her the name Kappaka Inazuma. She knew that Kappaka would grow up to be a wonderful child. However, she did not know that Kappaka would grow up to be the most powerful Pokemon trainer of all time.
