Two drabbles, each 100 words, the first one from Dr. Horrible's POV and the second from Captain Hammer's. I like the really grayed lines between heroes and villains in Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, and I guess these (particularly Captain Hammer's) kind of reflect that. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Dr. Horrible

He watched as the world disintegrated around him. It was a picturesque sight--something that should have been ugly, but he found it aesthetically beautiful instead. This was his world. He had broken it down and destroyed it, and the remnants that were left over were going to be the cornerstones to his new society.

This isn't what I wanted, a voice often liked to say, peaking in the back of his mind like an incessant bug. This isn't my plan.

(Sometimes things don't turn out the way you plan. It's a brand new day.)

A smirk crosses his face.

Captain Hammer

Lights flashed.

The world was his oyster. His really big, non-edible oyster. People kneeled at his feet, singing his praises to the wind. Oh, yes, he definitely had it good. Chicks came by the plenty, villains were like picking lint out of his pocket. And he was handsome. Very, very handsome.

Cameras rolled.

The crowd roared at him in delight, and Captain Hammer plastered a smile onto his face. These were his people lined up by the dozens. This was his world--a world he controlled. A world he ruled.

The truth passes unnoticed before them, blanketed by lies.
