Olivia stood in the cemetery, on a fine spring morning. The sky overhead was a blue as she'd ever seen it, and the trees and flowers were in bloom. It was really a rare and gorgeous sight. It was like Mother Nature was honoring Her too, and Olivia took her time appreciating it.
When Olivia finished admiring the nature around her, she looked down to the tombstone that she was standing in front of.
It read:
Unknown
That was it. Just Unknown.
It sickened her to know that this was what She'd been reduced to. Seven letters. There was no name, no date of birth, no inscription. Nothing.
It wasn't like they didn't know who the person that is resting there was. They all knew. They just chose to disrespect Her and lay her to rest with a small insignificant tombstone that said Unknown.
She deserved a magnificent tombstone. She deserved so much more than what they gave her. After all, everyone owed their lives to her.
Which brought Olivia back to the reason she was here. It was the one year anniversary. The one year anniversary of the day that changed the course of the two universes forever. Of a day she would never forget, and Olivia wanted to pay her respects to the woman that gave everything to save billions of people.
Olivia still felt guilty, of course, for everything that she'd done to her. She knew she'd been forgiven, though, because She had told her that she'd forgiven her for everything before she died. However, Olivia still didn't think that she'd ever lose that guilty feeling, and she didn't want too. Because she knew that it would remind her of just how screwed up she used to be. Of what not getting the whole story can make a person do.
Olivia stared done at the tombstone for another moment than looked to the beautiful cerulean sky, 'Thank you... for everything,' she thought. There wasn't much more that she could say. So she turned around and started to walk away.
Feeling the urge to look back, Olivia turned around and she could have sworn that she saw a mirror image of herself standing by the tombstone smiling. But, she blinked and the image was gone.
She turned back around and continued walking out of the cemetary. Entertaining the idea of buying Her a new tombstone.
Two Months Later
Olivia was back in the same cemetery, this time with Charlie, and Lincoln. They were paying their respects, along with admiring the new tombstone that everyone in Fringe Division had pitched in to buy.
It was definitely a sight to behold. (http:/ / oi55 (dot) tinypic (dot) com/vgj7n (dot) jpg)
